Half True??? I don't think there is any valid data to support even 1/4 truth!

I believe that though stats show that this is a half truth, reality is that we may be facing much more than 2 million out of work as a result of the original 1 million people unemployed.

We' ve read about inventive ways to call jobs saved , but we can see 4 million jobs lost . We saw 200,000 jobs a quarter gained with Bush. Obama will blame Bush for ever.

I just don't view obama as presidential. He lacks that strength that makes me want to follow him in his agenda and that is why as a democrat I won't believe anything his speech writer has to say .He lectured and talked down to the right we americans are bored with his same old redderick. I prey to god that he dumps the campaign and get on with the job. If we are lucky he will resign and remember I'm a democratm

More lies. This speech was geared toward those that haven't been paying attention. He chastised Congresss for not "working openly" yet failed to keep his promise regarding C-SPAN and healthcare. He now proposes a freeze which he adamantly criticized McCain for suggesting. The list goes on. He's all talk and not much honesty. Empty suit, empty words.

That's absurd. He could say 4 million jobs have been saved and would have no way to prove it. Anyone who buys two million jobs have been saved are blindly gullible to the Obama spell.

Here we go with another HALF – it's always HALF of something. Hundrends of jobs or maybe thousands were saved in ONE COUNTY alone in the state of Virginia – THIS YEAR – those same amounts will lose their jobs – NO STIMULUS!!!

When Bush was told by his advisors that S. Hussein was responsible for 9/11 and had WMD, the right wing did not dispute these statements which had a massive effect on our country, the deficit, our soldiers and their families..... When Obama quotes his advisors, he is exaggerating.

What about future jobs destroyed because of the future interest payments to service the debt amassed by this stimulus. I heard Ron Paul speak of this earlier on CNN, and I was impressed by the points he made.

Half True?...well then Bush should have let all the banks fail and thousands upon thousands would have lost their jobs, life savings, dividends, etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I do not remember this factchecking happening when Bush gave his State of the Union addresses. If it did happen, where do I go to read and verify that this organization did indeed factchecked Bush.

Saw this. It's a disingenuous analysis. Obama talked about jobs that were not lost as a result of money coming in. The "analysis" waxes towards whether new jobs were created. It's two different things. You're just mixing them in order to create controversy to sell the "story." He never said more were created...that jobs that previously didn't exist now exist...other than reference to jobs to complete construction projects. This is a great example of the medi scrambling after the speech to fabricate things to talk about...scratch that...ARGUE ABOUT...in order to perpetuate the news cycle.

Dissembling and deceit are Obama's trademarks. That's why his credibility has fallen.

Need more information to back up this claim. It is becoming harder to believe what comes out of the politicians' mouths by the day.

Obama promised us if we passed the corrupt stimulous bill in 24 hours without reading it UNEMPLOYMENT wouldn't go over 8%. UNEMPLOYMENT is 10%. He lied. So when he promises to focus on jobs get ready to go to 11%. Especially if he moves from the monstrous corrupt healthcare bill to cap & tax. That will really kill the economy.
