State of the Union: We're Unimpressed, Mr. Obama

Actions Speak Louder Than Words

The Tea Party Express released the following statement in response to the president's State of the Union Address:

"Tonight was a night of hot air, delivered in a way too long speech that revisited pledges we've quite frankly heard from Barack Obama before.

"His comments in the State of the Union were similar in tone and substance to his comments made after he won the 2008 presidential election and during his inauguration.

"But actions speak louder than words, and this administration violated its promise for increased transparency. Lobbyists were appointed by the president to positions he swore would never be filled by former lobbyists.

"Worst of all, we've seen out-of-control spending, and an unparalleled growth in the size and power of government.

"We'll start to believe Barack Obama when his actions match his words. Until then, it's just more empty promises, and we've all heard far too many unfulfilled promises from the politicians in Washington.
"In our opinion, the best part of this speech was the end."

Who exactly are these people? My advise: Get a job, get off my president's back, and see if you can make a POSITIVE contribution.

We're all getting pretty tired of the white-trash approach the tea-baggers have been stuck on for so long.

Here's an idea to help cut the deficit. How about Michelle Obama cutting back to one assistant from the 20 she has! How come all the First Ladies of the past have been able to make it by with just one assistant. Oh, except for Hillary, who needed three! Maybe they helped keep track of where Bill was spending his free time.

Let me be the first to say to the tea baggers the following: Most of America does not care what you people think. Don't you think you have done enough damage to the image of our country???
Wave your flag, thump your chest, have a cook-out then simply fade away..pleeeez.

Obama HAS fulfilled his promise of transparency in government.

The day after he hires a CAMPAIGN MANAGER (???) a year into his presidency, suddenly appear all sorts of articles, speeches and assertions that he's been worried about spending all along?

That's about as transparent as you can get. I can see right through that charade.

Yes, I agree. Obama did nothing to help us keep our wealth. He keeps wanting to do things for people who don't have money...well they are inferior, so they don't deserve it.

Cut my taxes, increase my wealth...that is what will make America strong. No more socialism

It just shows that they have love real love for this country and her people-The President showed true leadership and logic in his speech- made me so proud. The baggers need to heed his words..."Just saying no to everything that comes before this house is NOT Leadership!"
Bagger love their money- Most of us love America.

I thought the President's speech was wonderful. The tea baggers should know that the majority of Americans – at least all that I know, facebook, etc., think the tea baggers are a bunch of crazies and racists, and underlings of the Republican party.

Poor little teabaggers, you thought you had the upper hand with all your unhinged screaming but now you see what you're truly up against. Too bad all your Rushpublican allies are just selling you down the river now that your usefulness is nearly up.

How about trying to make a positive difference instead of constantly trying to tear the President down. What exactly have you guys done to make any positive changes? Stop repeating the Rushpublican talking points you have drilled into your head by the idiots at Faux News and attempt to think for yourselves (as painful as that may be).

Did they really use the phrase "in a way too long speech" in an official press release?

LOL. Either they have no editors on staff that actually graduated High School english, or the person that does their press releases is actually a pre-teen Valley Girl.
