Biden says son's decision not about politics

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/10/05/art.biden.gi.jpg caption="Biden said his son's decision not to run for Senate had nothing to do with politics."](CNN) - Joe Biden is adamant his son's decision against a bid for the Delaware Senate seat held by the vice president for nearly four decades had nothing to do with the current political climate.

"He would have been a strong candidate. But honest to God, that's not the reason he didn't run," Biden said on NBC's The Today Show when asked if the Democratic Party's misfortune in a string of recent elections led to his son Beau's decision.

"He didn't run because he has one of the largest pedophile cases I suspect at least in the history of the state of Delaware," Biden also said of his son who currently serves as Delaware's attorney general. "He realizes…his responsibility is to do his job as attorney general. "

The younger Biden announced his decision earlier this week in what was a blow to the Democratic Party which now finds itself without a strong candidate to challenge the likely Republican nominee, Rep. Mike Castle, the former 2-term governor of Delaware.

"I cannot and will not run for the United States Senate in 2010," Beau Biden said in an e-mail to supporters Monday. "I will run for re-election as Attorney General."
Biden's seat is currently held by Ted Kaufman, who was named as an interim replacement for Joe Biden when he stepped down from the Senate after his election in November 2008 as vice president. Kaufman has also said he will not run for the seat.

    Joe You Are An Idiot.

Let your son speak for himself.
He did not want the job.
Stop trying to make him sound like a hero for stopping pedophiles.

Want a joke for a vice president.
The guy just lies constantly and no one calls him out on it.

I cant believe we got stuck with such a lousy president and vice president. These guys make anyone else look like a genius.

Amazing that the first black american president is so bad and so limited in his abilities. You would have thought we could have picked someone smarter and more intelligent, not just a side show that can read a teleprompter.

Please. How stupid do the arrogant current Democrat leaders think we are? Any young up-and-coming Democrat politician who chooses to run for his or her first election this year would be moronic to do so. A loss on the record usually signals the end for a politician, with a few small exceptions.

Biden, as usual, speaking out on something he either knows nothing about or wants to lie about. Seeing how this is about his family, my money is on the latter.

Good for Beau, I would want to be apart of the idiot group in the Senate either nor the House. Republicans are power hungry morons bent on world domination with no ideas and Democrats are a bunch of cowards, afraid to do anything worth a darn with only theorized ideas.

While Biden was a Senator he became one of the "greatest brown nosers of the first 200 years of American History". He sets the standard for smoosiers everywhere. He never found a "sun tanning palor" he didn't like, and he is a bag of wind driven gaffers. He can sound like a know it all on any subject, but can't really point to even one creative contribution he ever made to further the democracy which made him a multimillionaire at the people's expense. Currently he is a traveller in a time warp while masteraiding as a V.P. Last night the smirky smile he maintained throughout the Attointed One's 79 minute tyraid of "Bush is such a loser, he makes me and Biden look like losers too". Obama + Biden = Last Days of the Republic
Obama – Biden will keep fighting for us, but it is the American people getting the black eyes, broken ribs, and knockout blows.

Sure Joe. Give the boy some credit. He would be stupid to run as a democrate with the last name Biden today. If he thought, he would win he would of ran.

Well, at least Joe Biden doesn't lie. This was what he said earler...

Biden: "Well, I say, they’re going to start to see unemployment grow this spring."

Typical news media (aka CNN) non-sense. If Biden had run, we'd be hearing about how bad it is that a small number of families dominate politics.
