Palin wants Rahm Emanuel fired

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/11/10/art.getty.rahm.emanuel.jpg caption="Palin says Emanuel should be fired over a recently reported comment."](CNN) - This time, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel has gone too far, Sarah Palin says.

The former Alaska governor is calling on President Obama to fire his notoriously coarse top aide after a report in the Wall Street Journal last week quoted Emanuel as referring to liberal groups in August who attacked the president's health care plan as "F-ing retarded."

In a posting on Facebook, Palin says the language is not only "caustic [and] crude" but deeply offensive to those with disabilities. She also compares the choice of words to that of the "N-word" in reference to African-Americans.

"His recent tirade against participants in a strategy session was such a strong slap in many American faces that our president is doing himself a disservice by seeming to condone Rahm's recent sick and offensive tactic," Palin wrote.

"Just as we'd be appalled if any public figure of Rahm's stature ever used the "N-word" or other such inappropriate language, Rahm's slur on all God's children with cognitive and developmental disabilities – and the people who love them – is unacceptable, and it's heartbreaking," Palin also wrote in the post Monday evening.

Palin's youngest child, Trig, was born with Down Syndrome in April, 2008.

Special Olympics Chairman Tim Shriver has also taken issue with the language, sending a letter to Emanuel last week asking him to join his organization's campaign to end the use of the word.

The White House has not commented on Emanuel's reported language.

Sarah Palin, I find you offensive and a disservice to the American people!!! You are so desperate to be relevant and in the news. Have you been keeping up with the latest polls? You are irrelevant!!! You are an embarrassment to women and to American politics. Go away!

  2. Randolph Carter, I'm no expert, but...

First of all, Rahm Emanuel needs to get punched in the head. Second of all, Sarak Palin needs to get punched in the head. Third, the healthcare "reform" plan is a joke: Here's your big handout, insurance companies, sorry, little people, no real reform for you. Have a nice day!

So now, everyone with a potty mouth should be fired. This lady has gone overboard. She's the same person who got the hate machine all riled up during the 2008 election, with her anti-muslim rants. Sit down Ms. EX-Governor.

Inexcusable. I thought the Democrats were the intelligent ones. If Rahm can't convey his opinions without resorting to insulting language, he should not be Chief of Staff. No way.

Palin jumps on the bandwagon to get her name in print. And who is she to refer to anyone's mental capabilities?

Who does this all quitter is that she tell the president what to do. Why is she even allowed to write articles on this site, let her do it on fox news. Put her out to pasture with the tea baggers. He was right when he said these groups especially the tea baggers are retarted. I think most of her followers fall in the same group too.

Who cares what dim bulb barbie wants? She doesn't care about her kid unless he's serving as a prop or a tool to bash anyone who dares take a stand against anything she wants.

Saw some video footage last night of her leaving her tour bus, holding the baby like a sack of potatoes. She and her braindead admirers were all wearing coats, dressed for chilly weather. The baby wasn't, nor was he wearing wearing socks or shoes. Guess if he gets sick and dies, it's her "God's" will.

Why fire Rahm for what we all were thinking Palin? For someone who supposedly is the self-appointed John of Arc for the handicapped..... she sure has little to nothing in the way of donations to any such organization like the Special Olympics or Ronald McDonald house. And that's interesting considering all the money she made off that ridiculous book....

  18. Where's my little Trig?

OK, Levi Johnston. Time to release the video/audio you have of Ms. Palin in her Wasilla home saying "Where's my little retard baby? Where is he? I want to see my little retard, Trig". Don't let us down now, Levi. If you do have video or audio of this (and I think you do), now would be a great time to release it and put this idiot away once and for all!

Will somebody please put Palin out of her misery!!!! This woman seems to be as uneducated as they come. How can you criticize the man for saying anyone who goes against the policy that will provide coverage for most americans (in case you didn't know Sarah, this includes people with disabilities). The more I hear from her, the more I am embarassed that she is an american. What the hell was John McCain thinking? I guess win at any cost, even if that means running with someone that doesn't have a clue.

She's a little touchy because that exact phrase has been (correctly) leveled at her so many times....

"His recent tirade against participants in a strategy session was such a strong slap in many American faces ......"

Tell me Sarah. Do you mean ALL Americans or just "real Americans"?

In other words, you live in a glass house when it comes to offensive speech.

I believe Rahm was just quoting context of how the GOP Party of NO described the health care bill over the summer. Palin now cries wolf after her language and rhetoric during the rogue campaign???
    Get serious!
