According to an ABC News/Washington Post survey, 71 percent of the public say the former Alaska governor is not qualified to serve in the White House, with 26 percent saying the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee is qualified to be president. The 26 percent who say Palin is qualified is down 12 points from an ABC News/Washington Post poll from November.

Twenty-eight percent of people questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey from November indicated that Palin was qualified, with 7 in 10 feeling she was not qualified to be president.

The ABC News/Washington Post poll, released Thursday morning as Palin marks her 46th birthday, also indicates that even a majority of Republicans now view Palin as not qualified to serve as commander-in-chief. According to the survey, 45 percent of conservatives see her as qualified, down 21 points from last November.

The survey also indicates that 37 percent of Americans have a favorable view of her, with 55 percent holding an unfavorable view. According to a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey from last month, 43 percent of the public had a favorable opinion and 46 percent had an unfavorable view of Palin.

The poll was conducted February 4-8, as Palin gave the keynote address in Nashville, Tennessee, at what was billed as the first national Tea Party convention. The survey indicates that Americans are split on the Tea Party movement, with 35 viewing the movement in a favorable way, 4 in 10 holding an unfavorable impression, and a quarter of those questioned unsure about the year old movement. A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey conducted last month indicated that 4 in 10 were unsure, with one-third holding a favorable view and one quarter having an unfavorable view of the Tea Party movement.

The ABC News/Washington Post poll indicates that 45 percent generally agree with the movement's small government positions on the issues, with 36 percent disagreeing and 1 in 5 unsure.

The ABC News/Washington Post poll was conducted by telephone, with 1,004 adults questioned. The survey's overall sampling error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.

Maybe you like her personality, maybe you don't. Or maybe you think her wink and her folksy way of talking is cute, or maybe every time you see her talking you feel nausea?
But the amazing thing is that about 30% of the public is pathetic enough to claim she is qualified for anything more than the typical fox media celebrity??
Of course that is about the same percentage who feel fox media is a legitimate source for news. Never mind that at fox they never use actual quotes or identify any of the "experts" they invite onto their stage to degrade and vilify any opposition to their own political views.
Is there really an “American Idiot" syndrome or is it simply a marketing success to the weak minded "fox followers".

The more she speaks the lower her approval ratings will go. This woman is a complete fool, makes no sense at all. She speaks like she's on drugs. Even Repubs know this down deep.

Sarah Palin isn't qualified to lead the teabaggers, much less the Presidency. She is the very definition of "Unqualified".

And this would be a suprise why? I think Barney (the purple kid's dinosaur) would make a better presidential candidate than Palin.

At her next media event, she can chant "I am qualify to be president" while holding up her palms with that message written on them.

I don't think she's qualified either, but as a Democrat, I badly want her to run. I don't think there's a more pathetic opponent out there. Really, a dream come true would be to see her run on a third Tea Party ticket, Obama wouldn't even have to campaign, and the Republicans would trip over themselves in their flight from the center.

Palin is dumber than a rock, however, someone has shown her how to milk the system for big money. She will just move along collecting money for spewing slogans and taking no action. She won't run. Period....

She couldn't stand up against the Republicans or the Independant candidates – She has no substance (unless you the "First Dude" is allow to be on the ticket with her). It has become known that is was the one behind the scenes making all the government decisions while he held no position to do so!

    I’m sick of Palin. Period.

And this is a surprise? She can't even STAND up to RUSH LImbaugh let alone REALLY intimidating foreign leaders. Way to go two-faced Sarah, calling shots however it best suits your party and your pocketbook.

This is a bias main stream media poll and it isn't worth the paper it is written on! Just what is it about Sarah Palin that these people are afraid of. Truth, Honesty, Common Sense! Or maybe it's the fact that the Republicans do not think the Constitution is a living document to be changed at will or disregarded completely like the Democrats always do!

Thank goodness most people can be honest and not let hate for the President cloud their judgement. And for Christians to want her, a person who spews hate and division, had the most evil look on her face as people yelled "kill Obama" is unbelievable. I often wondered what kind of people support her. Then I read the stupid quotes about how we are afraid of her. No sweety, we are afraid for our country and our loved ones. Stop being parrots and yelling socialist and ewww, you are afraid of Sarah Palin and stop hateing others so much. That is what she promotes and stands for, HATE.
