According to an ABC News/Washington Post survey, 71 percent of the public say the former Alaska governor is not qualified to serve in the White House, with 26 percent saying the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee is qualified to be president. The 26 percent who say Palin is qualified is down 12 points from an ABC News/Washington Post poll from November.

Twenty-eight percent of people questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey from November indicated that Palin was qualified, with 7 in 10 feeling she was not qualified to be president.

The ABC News/Washington Post poll, released Thursday morning as Palin marks her 46th birthday, also indicates that even a majority of Republicans now view Palin as not qualified to serve as commander-in-chief. According to the survey, 45 percent of conservatives see her as qualified, down 21 points from last November.

The survey also indicates that 37 percent of Americans have a favorable view of her, with 55 percent holding an unfavorable view. According to a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey from last month, 43 percent of the public had a favorable opinion and 46 percent had an unfavorable view of Palin.

The poll was conducted February 4-8, as Palin gave the keynote address in Nashville, Tennessee, at what was billed as the first national Tea Party convention. The survey indicates that Americans are split on the Tea Party movement, with 35 viewing the movement in a favorable way, 4 in 10 holding an unfavorable impression, and a quarter of those questioned unsure about the year old movement. A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey conducted last month indicated that 4 in 10 were unsure, with one-third holding a favorable view and one quarter having an unfavorable view of the Tea Party movement.

The ABC News/Washington Post poll indicates that 45 percent generally agree with the movement's small government positions on the issues, with 36 percent disagreeing and 1 in 5 unsure.

The ABC News/Washington Post poll was conducted by telephone, with 1,004 adults questioned. The survey's overall sampling error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.

In most large communities (e.g. Los Angeles), she wouldn't be capable or competent enough to be a City Councilperson.

Oh please no! When will this woman just give it up. She was a total embarrassment to all women during the election, made a total ass of herself and her family (putting them in the public eye), knowing her daughter was an unwed mother showing our young girls whatever goes. I don't fault her daughter, but with all the drama it bought how can she possibly think we the American people will elect just anything to the white house, Family does matter, she just needs to face it and stay where she is and maybe boost the Republican party from the backround. Does she really want to embarrass herself and her family again. I betcha!!!!!

7 out of 10 don't think she's qualified for President and 10 out of 10 thinks she's a complete Moron. This Idiot is in it for the money and only then money, she would use her own children for a buck.

Thank you all those who are smart enough to see she is not leadership material. Thank you from the bottom of my heart that her hate is not spreading any farther than it had. The ones who support her need to look deep down inside and ask themselves how and why they support her. Horrible person, she could take lessons from our classy first lady.

How can we consider someone who barely graduated from on -line college, run the US of America??????This woman is just a celebrity that's it. She's not intelligent enough, and she insite racial division. The 26% that feels she's qualified are crazy. Sarah Palin can't even run her own household. One daughter having a child out of wed lock, barely an adult, one underage daughter going on drunken binges, then her husband was running the Governorship behind closed doors. Please get some sense people. Sarah Palin is and will never be capable of being President of the US, she say things to keep her name mention in the media. She knows she not capable, look at what she did for money she resign for better opportunities. So what make you think she would not bailout on us for a better opportunity if she was president? Stop the madness. President Obama is doing a great job, he's only been on the job one year. Because he's a black man people expect miracles. Because society has always expect people of color to come in and do the impossible. President Obama keep up the good work, keep fighting the good fight, my prayers are with you.

Seven out of ten??? I don't believe those numbers at all.
More like nine out of ten don't think she's qualified and that's being conservative.

It is amusing to think of all the conservative leaders who at one time tried to convince America that she was qualified. T

What will Palin do now– become rich by being another Limbaugh or Hannity and just keep feeding those willing to be less informed the political rhetoric they need to feel good about being a Republican.

The Washington Post is an Obama fan and would never give any republican the benefit of the doubt, I do not believe what their polls say because their not accurate. Palin is getting more popular than ever beating out Romney in the polls. Interviewing about 1300 people is not the whole 50 states and they probably choose democrats opinion. The Tea Party is going to get larger than life which will take votes away from Obama if he runs again. My opinion is he will lose the election because people are tired of his lying about change. about change. Palin is absolutely right about his policies and he needs to fire his advisors.

I am one of the 7 out of 10 that says she is unqualified but Obama was not qualified either as witnessed by his disasterous year. Lets try to elect people that can actually do the job as President.

The more this intellectually stunted moron opens her mouth the more people see her for what she is; uneducated and inarticulate. Kinda reminds me of the other air head called Bush.

People are finally beginning to catch on. She wasn't qualified to be governor of Alaska, so she quit. She apparently is also not a very good parent.

No surprises here. She's just awful. As soon as people heard her speaking without a prepared speech for a few moments, it was obvious that she's not even qualified to be a state governor. But happy birthday anyway.

This should put this farce to rest. But of course it won't. She is delusional and greedy. And the media likes a story. So on it will go.

Have you noticed the trend on the woman that hate and love Sarah Palin yet? In Journalism you have Rachel Maddow & Grace Jones vs all the hot chicks that report on Fox News.
On "The View" look at Whoopie, Joy Behar, and Barbara Walters vs Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
I'm guessing all the catty estrogen fueled hate of Sarah on this site follows the same trend...the real hate is cosmetic self-esteem insecurities not politics.
