Poll no present to Palin on her birthday

According to an ABC News/Washington Post survey, 71 percent of the public say the former Alaska governor is not qualified to serve in the White House, with 26 percent saying the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee is qualified to be president. The 26 percent who say Palin is qualified is down 12 points from an ABC News/Washington Post poll from November.
Twenty-eight percent of people questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey from November indicated that Palin was qualified, with 7 in 10 feeling she was not qualified to be president.
The ABC News/Washington Post poll, released Thursday morning as Palin marks her 46th birthday, also indicates that even a majority of Republicans now view Palin as not qualified to serve as commander-in-chief. According to the survey, 45 percent of conservatives see her as qualified, down 21 points from last November.
The survey also indicates that 37 percent of Americans have a favorable view of her, with 55 percent holding an unfavorable view. According to a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey from last month, 43 percent of the public had a favorable opinion and 46 percent had an unfavorable view of Palin.
The poll was conducted February 4-8, as Palin gave the keynote address in Nashville, Tennessee, at what was billed as the first national Tea Party convention. The survey indicates that Americans are split on the Tea Party movement, with 35 viewing the movement in a favorable way, 4 in 10 holding an unfavorable impression, and a quarter of those questioned unsure about the year old movement. A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey conducted last month indicated that 4 in 10 were unsure, with one-third holding a favorable view and one quarter having an unfavorable view of the Tea Party movement.
The ABC News/Washington Post poll indicates that 45 percent generally agree with the movement's small government positions on the issues, with 36 percent disagreeing and 1 in 5 unsure.
The ABC News/Washington Post poll was conducted by telephone, with 1,004 adults questioned. The survey's overall sampling error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.

If President Obama sounded like she does? He would have never been mentioned in the same breathe with being president.
I am sick of polls on qualifications. Are any of the cabinet qualified? How about the czars? Not to even mention our Presidents record.
It is highly unlikely that she would be taken seriously as a potential candidate. She has a fan club of followers, but is not what people want to see in a president.
And this is surprising to anyone????? She knows less about how the federal government works, not much about foreign policy. She always state President Obama's speeches have no substance.........her speeches have nothing either, just repeating Republican rhetoric. she definitely showed her hypocrisy on defending Rush on the use of the word "retarded". His use is political satire, but Rham's use is demeaning. The word should not be used PERIOD. The most important thing.......she gave up on the people of Alaska. She quit her job over ethics complaints. President Bush went through hell wtih his decision, he didn't give up. President Clinton was impeached, he didn't give up. John McCain was imprisoned for 5 years, he didn't give up. She left the people of Alaska over some ethics complaints that most were proven to be not valid. Would she give up on the U.S. if the pressure got too much if she were in the White House.......................

Sarah Palin's found herself a nice little racket, but at some point she'll have to do something besides collect fat paychecks for spouting platitudes and snarky remarks. At some point she'll have to take questions from someone outside FOX News. At some point even the dumbest members of that 26% will tire of her and find a new shiny object to distract themselves with.
She will fall, and when she does it will be SPECTACULAR.
She is qualified to chum with the likes of Glenn Beck on FOX though. 😀
I think she is becoming more qualified every day. I don't think she will run for President, but 2 yrs. is a long way off. She has time to learn more about all the issues. I don't think Obama has ever learned anything about the issues- he just talks.
While I don't support Sarah Palin for President, I don't see how she is any less qualified for the position than our current President.

Politically I nearly completely disagree with her, but nonetheless, it's her birthday! Happy Birthday Sarah!
I don't think that there is a better person that is in a position to possibly win in 2012, and even as a registered democrat I would vote for her in a heartbeat because I do like the fact that she is confortational and does not conform to one set of rules. On the other hand she at times more than often seems to be incompetent and a little lost. I beleive that the Repbublicians would nominate her in 2012 if she wasn't so unpredictable.
Palin will remain a major player in the political scene, but it is unlikely she can win the nomination for President.
Maybe the numbers would be better for her if she had a compliant press and a giant 'D' in front of her name. Seriously, if Obama is qualified to be President, then who couldn't do it?

Thank God people are starting to wake up and see that this woman is not qualified to run this country. After watching the speech Saturday night I recommend that she in the future starts using a Telepronter.
