The Kennedys were and are Liberals, and they actually tried to make their campaign promises into laws and policies. If you voted for a Kennedy, you knew what you were getting.
Vote for a Conservative who promises help for small businesses, an anti-gay marriage amendment, an anti-abortion amendment, a balanced budget, a return to small town decency, and a return to Christian values and what do you get? You get no-bid, no-audit contracts to Blackwater and Halliburton. You get $5 trillion in deficit spending. You get the replacement of small business with global corporations. You don't get a gay marriage amendment. You don't get an anti-abortion amendment. You get boarded up windows on small-town Main Street. As for Christian values, you get CEOs who lay off employees and give themselves big bonuses. That must be in the Bible somewhere ...

Kennedy Dynasty ?
I definitely believe that JFK was a great president, I believe that Bobby would have a made a significant impact on American politics had he lived and I admire the service that Ted gave during all those years in the Senate. But to refer to these three brothers as a Dynasty is quite frankly a slap in the face of what they believed and what they gave to America.
These 3 progressive leaders, like our founding fathers, served America, they did not rule America. They did not wish impose a Dyansty or Royality on America. That is the kind of government they fought to avoid.
So will the media and pundits please stop dishonoring them by refering to them as a Dynasty or a Legacy.
Just like those that fought and died at Bunker Hill, they were Patriots. Like Washington, like Adams, like Jefferson they did not seek to rule America, to create a European Dynasty. They sought to create a society that was filled with Freedoms.

When you have an under, and uneducated populace in America that is so gullible to believe all the garbage from the Right, how do you combat that level of ignorance when the Right portrays Liberals like Muslim-loving Communists with leprosy?

Thank God for this over-worshipped Kenndy era coming to a close once and for all.
I'm very thankful that what could have been a potentially never-ending presidential dynasty passing on power, first to brothers then to the next silver-spoon generation every eight years, was limited to less than four years. But unfortunately, the liberal-progressive dragon keeps raising its ugly socialist head in many other forms....and it will take constant work by real Americans and Patriots to get our nation back.

Who cares about the Kennedy family "legacy"--the US is not a monarchy.
The issues at hand are..........What is best for the states and the country-–not what is best for the Kennedy's!!
What is it that people are not getting???
Just because someone has the name "Kennedy"---does not guarantee/secure them a political seat.
The Kennedy family has moved FAR away-–from the respect/admiration for JFK. Personally, I think that JFK was a good President. However, this also does not justify a monarchy.
Since JFK--the Kennedy stories never end regarding corruption, womanizing, alcohol binges, drug binges, rapes, etc.--–and "somehow' this should be respected and we should be worried about carrying on this "legacy"???
The current politics in our country have rightfully so moved away from the concerns for the "Kennedy legacy"-–and what is best for the "Kennedy's". The concerns are now-–what is best for the people, states, and country.
