Obama, Dalai Lama meeting could 'irritate China very much'

Washington (CNN) - President Obama will meet the Dalai Lama, the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, on Thursday at the White House despite strong objections from the Chinese government.

The meeting has the potential to complicate Sino-U.S. tensions further, which have been rising in recent months.

China has warned the meeting will certainly damage ties with Washington.

"It will seriously undermine the Sino-U.S. political relations," Zhu Weiqun, a senior Communist Party leader in charge of ethnic and religious affairs, said recently. "We will take corresponding action to make relevant countries see their mistakes."

Well maybe China will just foreclose on the US debt. That would take care of those meetings.

And what is China going to do to its biggest retail customer? Cut ties with us? Yeah, I'd like to seem them try. Who else buys as much of their cheap garbage as we do?

Hey China, we may owe you $$$ but you don't own us and threats just show how very afraid you are...why don't you open another concentraition camp to strip mine coal to burn to make sure your electricy doesn't go out during you government ordered abortions? or perhaps you still need to manufacture more phony birth certificates for your Olympic atheletes? How about trying to re-write the Tianamen square history again? Surely the big bad nation of China has more to do than worry about a man who wants to bring peace to the Earth....

WOW! Imagine if China was really mad at us... What might they do? Stop selling us stuff? Force us to make things for ourselves?
    How awful would THAT be???

Seriously, doing the proper thing has it's own rewards, even if we don't know what they are.

We need to be "that" society. We need to start doing what's right and proper, BECAUSE it's right and proper, not because it's more convenient, more profitable.

Sounds like a threat China. What are you going do, reck our economy. It's not like we owe you anythi....wait ,I forgot, the Bush Administration basically used our country as collateral to fund his wars. Okay but just because you own the United States, you cannot tell us what do China.....oh wait, I guess you can. So to all you "I hate Obama, he is a socialist" nutcases out there, just remember, The Bush Administration, your Republican Excaliber, the guy you voted for....twice sold this country to a Socialist, Dictorial Nation. So the idea of borrowing tons of money to attack a soverign nation who did nothing to you but call you some names, to get control of their oil, so you exploit thier resources and hold the rest of the world hostage, hmm now how did that work out for you Republicans?

China doesn't have a right to say who we meet. We have no right to tell China who it can meet with. The Dalai Lama is a respected person as well as being an influential spiritual leader. What has China done lately but put our children and our pets at risk by exporting tainted goods?

I find it interesting that Americans are worried about President Obama visiting with the Dalai Lama but said nothing when Laura and George Bush both visited him.

China will get over it. They need us just as much as we need them. If we don't by the stuff that their slaves build because that is basically what they are then where will they be.

Careful, Obama... they're going to take away your credit card.

P.S. – Hey Obama... there's $600 BILLION in your budget over the next 10 years based on revenue generated from Cap and Trade. Since there's not a snowball's chance in hades of that passing, where's the dough going to come from?
