McDonnell cancels CPAC appearance

Washington (CNN) - Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, one the Republican Party's favorite new faces, has cancelled his Saturday appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

McDonnell is in Washington Friday for events with the National Governors Association and Republican Governors Association, and will still attend a Georgetown fundraiser for Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty's political action committee, but he is returning to Richmond tonight to work on budget matters, according to a McDonnell spokesman.

McDonnell will return to Washington on Sunday to attend the NGA dinner at the White House with President Obama. His office said he would try to stop by CPAC Friday if time permitted.

He was originally slated to address the CPAC audience on Saturday afternoon, after former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

I see that the liberal rants and raves have picked up in nastiness and intensity, a certain sign of impending liberal doom. Keep living in the past and the future will pass you quickly.
I love to see people defending the attack on Palin's down syndrome baby classic liberal hatered...love it!

Wow, a GOP Congressman who is actually doing work to improve his constituency. About as rare as a $2 bill.

Maybe McConnell is smarter than we give him credit for.

Actually, Mitch McConnell might not have "passed" the Republican
"test" that Newt Ginright proposed! Mitch stood before congress
and cried and cried for one of his "helpers" retiring! Not crying for
the people of the United States. Crying for himself.

I believe Mitch is embarrassed and with all the "media" coverage
on Mitch "crying" and taking out his "ironed cotton" kleenex to rub
his tears away. I believe Mitch was "uninvited for this embarrassing
    "display of affection" for HIMSELF!

You already lost the election, Mitch. Now what Democrat will be
running? I real anxious to know!

    @ Deb N Texas
He wasn't sent to Washington to a job. He's the governor of Virginia idiot
When you can't debate just turn to personal attacks, right. Dutch?? Deb N Texas simply mispoke! Why the anger and hatred? Are you that angry when Obama (57 states, remember?) misspeak?

I think McDonnel should go to CPAC.. and let them know how his Virginia state budget is working out for him.. Has he cut the budget yet?. Or maybe he will call Bush and see how Bush handled his Budget the last 8 years?

CPAC was confused and booked Ronald McDonald instead. But they won't be able to tell the difference anyway.
