NAACP Image Award to be given to former WH 'green czar'

The group considers him a pioneering hero for the environment and civil rights - so much so that it is awarding him one of its highest honors Friday: an NAACP Image Award. It's a move that is just becoming public now, which is sure to stoke the fire from Jones critics.
Jones resigned in September 2009 from his position on the Council on Environmental Quality, under a firestorm of criticism over a petition he had signed and his comments about Republicans.
The Obama administration's "green czar" helped coordinate government agencies focused on delivering millions of green jobs to the ailing U.S. economy.
Jones said he was the victim of a "vicious smear campaign" based on "lies and distortions."

What are progressives, who are they? Van Jones knows the answer, he is an admitted progressive.
They are those who DO NOT believe the US Constitution applies to issues of today! They believe that modern times have changed what Freedom and Liberty mean.
They are wrong in this thinking, Freedom and Liberty has never been defined in a better fashion, through our U.S. Constitution, of government in the history of Human society. What we truly need is a return to the principles that this country was founded on!
Hmmm.... not surprising based on his views that this is the kind of organization that would give him an award. Not likely he could ever receive one from a freedom loving group.

It's their business if the NAACP want Van Jones to represent their image. Personally, I think it's a mistake and will eventually hurt their standing in the country. Just wait and see which politians flee NAACP endorsements.
This is so typical of the liberal establishment. Giving phoney awards to people who should be in jail for treason. Look at honest Al Gore, the man should be in jail. Henry Waxman, should be impreached for not pursuing him for perjury in his testimony before Congress.

He was tortured by the right wing crazies. We need to focus the country on having sustainable jobs and jobs in environmental helpful areas. We are losing out to other countries that are developing solar, wind, nuclear and other renewable power sources.
THANKS NAACP – This is very good choice and a very good citizen. The only regret I have is that Van resigned from the position as green czar. My desire would have been for him to stay and fight aganist the GLEN BECKS of the world in addition to performing as the green czar. But the fight aganist ignorance can be done from any position and many locations.

Their were no lies told about him, unless he was the one telling lies on video. Van sank his own ship and no one had to help him.
What worries me more is that Odumbo hired this freak and he had to have known what he stood for. I wonder how many more people he has brought into our capital that we dont know anything about.
Now the NAACP is handing him an award, a self proclaimed communist in our nation. Hummm kind of makes you wonder what is happening to our great nation when we start handing out awards to radicalists.
