RNC to President Obama: Listen to the American people

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/02/24/art.rncvideo.rnc.jpg caption=" The Republican National Committee released a new Web ad Wednesday telling President Obama to start over on health care reform."]Washington (CNN) - The Republican National Committee has a message about health care for President Obama on behalf of the American people: "Listen to them."

"If President Obama is truly interested in a bipartisan approach, then he can start by shelving his hand-me-down health care proposal, and start working with Republicans to put together a health care bill with common-sense incremental reforms that Americans are demanding and our country desperately needs," RNC Chairman Michael Steele said in a statement released Wednesday.

"Instead of listening to the majority of Americans and starting over on health care, the president decided to go forward with a recycled government-run plan that will still cost over $2.5 trillion, puts government in control of personal health decisions, and empowers the government to set prices in the private market," Steele added.

The video features pictures of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell and Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown–three Republicans who have recently won seats previously held by Democrats. Republicans contend that the elections were referendums on President Obama and Democratic proposals, including health care.

The video comes a day before President Obama will hold a bipartisan health care meeting in Washington.

Where were the GOP = Tea Party = Republicans during the Bush years. Why were they sitting on the sidelines and not saying a single word when this mess was being created? NOW, they want to cry and moan that we have a President willing to do something. Teabaggers, go back to bed.

I say to the GOP. You listen to the American people! Obstructing everything they can instead of working to put this country back on it's feet. The American people are watching them not what the president is trying to do by doing his best to fix the mess they left behind. Just saying NO will do nothing to help put the country back on track. Shape up you sore losers!!

OK so the track official pulls the trigger on the starter pistol and the racers are off and running, but wait. One of the racers has not yet come out of the starting gate so he calls for the race to be stopped and restarted again.

Yes that is the thing to do. If you stumble, trip or fall and lag behind in the race it's not a problem. We will simply stop and start all over again. I may not be the brightest light in the building but I produce enough light to see that is a load of crap.

Steel is right, CNN's own poll here burried the results in the middle of the article:

"Twenty-five percent of people questioned in the poll say Congress should pass legislation similar to the bills passed by both chambers, with 48 percent saying lawmakers should work on an entirely new bill and a quarter saying Congress should stop all work on health care reform."

Thats 73% against the current Bill. The Dems, with help from the liberal media, are going to try to ram this through using what ever means they can no matter what the American People say.

    The RNC is right.

    Dear President Obama,

Please listen to me. We MUST have a public option to stop the insurance companies from jacking up their premiums.

Obozo and his Democrat minions know what is best for the American People because they are so much smarter!

This sickening attitude and elitist mentality will lead to their ultimate demise and the sooner the better!

If Republicans want to provide input on Health Care reform, then where are their provisions?

    What have they provided?

Why don't they talk about what they propose?

For Republicans, "start over" means "do it our way". Just another attempt by obstructionist Republicans at legislative sabotage!
