Bush, Palin to speak at women's forum

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Sarah Palin and Laura Bush will cross paths at an event in June."](CNN) - Laura Bush and Sarah Palin have rarely crossed paths, but the two will appear at the same North Carolina forum this June.

Bush and Palin are the featured speakers at the Blueridge Educational Resource Group "Women's Expo" on June 5 in Charlotte, the group confirms. Bush, the former first lady, will speak at 1 p.m. ET following a VIP luncheon while Palin will address the crowd at 4 p.m. ET. The former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee will also hold a book signing for the first 75 people who purchase the $300-a-piece tickets.

The group says a portion of the proceeds will go to the Victory Junction Gang, a camp for chronically ill children in North Carolina.

Blueridge Educational Resource Group describes itself as a non-profit corporation "whose purpose is to affect the issues that plague our society such as poverty, drug abuse, and teen pregnancy in a positive manner using every means possible."

I do not understand why anyone refers to Sarah Palin as "former governor".
In order to be considered a former governor, she would have had to have been a governor.
Since she quit the office she was elected to, that term is not appropriate for her.

Sarah and Laura being together on stage may produce a moment even more memorable than when Laura spoke in support of John McCain’s nomination at the 2008, Republican National Convention saying, “Now that is change you can believe in,” (indicating even she was ready for change after eight years of her husband being president), or even more memorable than when Bush strained to listen to the voices in his head from that audio prompter stuck in his ear when debating Gore, or even more memorable than when Palin strained to read the notes on her left palm to remind her of the major issues she wanted to mention after ridiculing Obama for reading speeches.

Laura Bush was one of the most beloved First Ladies in History. This is the most corrupt administration in American History. Obama and his den of liberals are killing us. I miss W. At least he cared about America and stood up for Her.
