Kennedy: National press corps 'despicable'

Washington (CNN) - Rep. Patrick Kennedy, D-Rhode Island, blasted national reporters Wednesday for focusing on trivialities instead of the war in Afghanistan.

While delivering a speech, Kennedy spotted only a handful of reporters sitting in the press gallery overlooking the House floor. But because House floor debates are televised, reporters often monitor the proceedings from their desks outside the chamber where they can more easily take notes and work on computers.

Whether you like Kennedy personally is not the point people, focus on his argument and quit making ad hominum comments. Does anyone really, honestly think that the press (all the press, not just Fox Noise) does their job anymore? Or are they ALL just in it for tabloid ratings. Walter Cronkite often complained about how cable news "dumbs" down the real issues. I agree with the late, great Walter Cronkite, who was considered the most trusted man in the United States. Wake up people....Kennedy is right, whether you like him or not.

It is about time every body did. If they gave grades there wouldn't be one news site except MSNBC that would get a grade about a "Z" . The media has it's head up republican butt, and it will stay up republican butt, because the republicans OWN EVERY SINGLE SOLITARY MEDIA COMPANY. And the dumb butt public call the media "librul". butt dung.

This vote really is pretty entertaining and enlightening if you read it.

60 Democrats voted to get out of Afghanistan.
5 Republicans voted to get out of Afghanistan.

If President Bush or a Republican for that matter was in office now, it would easily have been 100's of Democrats that voted to get out.
Yet, they will stick by Barack only because of party loyalty.

The Republcans at least vote consistently on the issue; no matter who happens to be in office.

At least that is how it appears.

MSM has become a joke. They create stories, and practice sensational propaganda for one party or the other, mainly for the republicans. How could the republicans on national TV get away unchallenged with making statements that we have the best health care system in the world. Even Canadian law makers come to US for cancer treatment skipping their own so called socialized system. No body dared to point out that we have the most advanced system in the world if you can pay for it. Unfortunately, over 30 million americans can't afford it! Journalists like Walter Cronkite is sorely missed. You call Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity journalists! They are master manipulator of ignorant raw emotion. And MSM has become a show business. It's a shame!

  9. How are you paying for it???

OK, so the dumb fool is probably right. The press is a joke.

But guess what, so is the majority of congress.

    So, whatta going to do?

My hat goes off for Patrick Kennedy. I admire his courage to tell it just the way things are. Ted would have been proud of him....and so am I.
