"You lie!" congressman praised by voters in new ad

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption ="Rep. Joe Wilson of ‘You lie!’ fame is out Tuesday with a new television ad."]Washington (CNN) – He sat down and yelled, "You lie," at President Obama. But according to a new TV ad, he "stood up, when most people have been silent."

That's the sentiment from voters in South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson's new television spot - the first of his re-election campaign.

The 60-second spot features voters defending Wilson's work on their behalf, though not specifically his outburst at President Obama during a health care speech to Congress last September.

"He's passionate about what he does. And I respect that," one person says in the ad. "He says what he means, and he does what he says," explains another.

Brian DeRoy, Communications Director for Wilson's campaign, told CNN that a radio spot complements the television ad - and that both are debuting throughout South Carolina's 2nd Congressional District.

The campaign for Wilson's Democratic opponent told supporters that Wilson's new ad shows the Republican "bragging about his outburst again."

In a fundraising e-mail, Democrat Rob Miller's campaign said Wilson is "scared, because he's spent so much time as a Washington Congressman representing special interests." Miller's campaign said Wilson is spending money raised from the outburst.

Yet the Miller campaign is also trying to raise money off the controversy, urging supporters to contribute.

The president got slammed for bowing to foreign dignitaires, and this fool gets praised for shouting out during a major speech. I don't get it. Is it any wonder people act so rudely nowadays? And is this a return to "old-fashioned values?"

    I don't think so.

Correction. That's the sentiment from some hand picked voters in South Carolina. I'm from there, and most of the voters I know utterly despise him.

Joe Wilson was and still is right about Obummie lying about federally funded abortions in the health care bill. The congress and Obummie owe him an apology. Remember he apologized for telling the truth. He should demand a televised apology from those idiots and demand their admission that they were the liars.

What was worse a congressman blurting out an inappropriate statement during the state of the union (that happened to be correct) or the President’s premeditated verbal attack on the highest court in the land on National TV?

Blacks and minority are going to make you racist white people pay at the polls. No minority and their right mind will vote for any Republicans after they have did everything to try to destroy President Obama. BLACK POWER IS NO JOKE!

Well now, I guess old Joe Wilson turned out to be the one telling the truth about healthcare reform now hasn't he? They called him a racist and a traitor for speaking up for the obvious. By the way Libs, what do you call an Administration that takes away from the hard working class to give to the non-working class, Classicsts? Funny, most European immigrants fled to the New World to escape government oppression and indentured slavery and now some two-hundred odd years later, we find ourselves oppressed by a dysfunctional government and indentured by their massive debt!

Vote for real healthcare reform in 2010 and 2012!

This Blog Describes The Definition Of What A Hypocrite Does, When They Are On The Other Side Of The Fence. If The Roles Had Been Reversed, You'd Still Have A Person Disrespecting The Institution Of Goverment.
