Yes, hurry up and vote up or down so Boehner can go back to the goft course to work on his tan because that's the only thing he works on. Boehner doesn't work for the American people and doesn't know the difference between The Constitution and The Bill of Rights.

If John's suggestion is taken by Pelosi for an up and down person by person Yays or Nays, it would give America watching just who is going to put America into a Federalist stranglehold. Who knows how the other votes, if she allows them, will turn out. Obama's blather is all show. The Dems either have the votes now or they don't. The more the slim Kenyan dictator babbles, the less power he seems to have.

    Your Social Security

Just in case some of you youngsters (& some older ones) didn't know this. It's easy to check out, if you don't believe it. Be sure and show it to your kids. They need a little history lesson on what's what and it doesn't matter whether you are Democrat or Republican. Facts are Facts!!!
    Our Social Security
Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program. He promised:
1.) That participation in the Program would be completely voluntary,
    No longer Voluntary
2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual Incomes into the Program,
Now 7.65% on the first $90,000
3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year,
    No longer tax deductible
4.) That the money the participants put into the independent 'Trust Fund' rather than into the general operating fund, and therefore, would
only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program, and, Under Johnson the money was moved to the general fund and spent
5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income.
Under Clinton & Gore Up to 85% of your Social Security can be taxed
Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and some are now receiving a Social Security check every month – and then finding that you get taxed on 85% of the money paid to the Federal government to 'put away' – you may be interested in the following:
Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent 'Trust Fund' and put it into the general fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically controlled House and Senate.
: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
    A: The Democratic Party.
Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?
A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the 'tie-breaking' deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the US
Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?
    A: That's right!
Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party. immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! The
Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!
    -- – -- - -– -- - -
Then, after violating the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!

And the worst part about this is that uninformed citizens believe it and are letting the Democratic party do the same thing to your healthcare. All broken promises that will cost you dearly in the end!!!

Come on, John. The bus is leaving, and you're either on the bus or off the bus. The American people expect you to work for them, and in your current position, that means working with the majority. Try being just a little bit 'statesman-like' and start playing a positive part in reviving America instead of being the biggest road block with the worst fake-tan ever!

I wish that not very high I.Q. clown would fall asleep under his
    sun-lamp.
The GOP obviously does not realize, how much damage this guy does to the party.
That also goes for the "girly-man" McConnell.
How the party can keep those two clowns in front of the party is
incredible. Ask almost anybody under 50 with a reasonable I.Q.

The 'Orange Boner' continues spreading lies and spewing hate filled hot air rhetoric of senseless and meaningless bull. The audacity of the Repugliban knows no bounds, these clowns will say anything and spread lies to no end if they think just one misinformed American will listen to them. I will be glad when this is all done and the Repugliban are finally shown to be the liars and bigots they truly are, it cannot come soon enough, America has had enough of these buffoons to last for the rest of the Century.

how about this Boehner, Pres. Obama, Reed, and Pelosi...since obviously none of you have the power nor the spine to get this bill passed (or written in a fashion that the public has full confidence in) how about you put this bill in the American peoples hands on the internet and over the airwaves, let us read it from front to back (give us two weeks or so) and then open up the voting booths...then we will tell you wiether or not we want this bill to be passed because obviously you don't care about the opinion of your constituants that voted you in anymore...all you care about is "beating" the republicans on health care reform because they wont support you (which dont get me wrong isn't right either)...enough with this politcal pissing contest...get something done before we all do something drastic such as voting in the tea baggers to run this once great nation (heaven help us if it comes down to that)

  19. Kill the Bill before it kills US.

Boehner is correct; this bill WILL ruin this country if it is passed. This is not a scare tactic. Every American who is thinking for themselves and not fooled by Obama and his gang knows what is at stake here. Pray this bill does NOT pass.

I said a couple of weeks ago that we needed to hold onto our hats because the Republicans (and their corporate masters) were going to pull out all the stops. I was just kidding. Now I'm not. Just how far are they going to go playing the fear card and lying to us. This is a disgrace. Boehner and McConnell are disgraces. Wonder what Dwight Eisenhower would think about his party today. That question crosses my mind a lot these days. These people are destroying us.

Yes we will have an up and down vote come Nov. 2010 and guess what Boehner; it will be up for true Democrats/Independents and down/out for you and every other fear/hate/obstructionist/purity Republican, blue dog.

We want and we will get our country back. Maybe if any Republicans are standing at the end of 2010/2012 elections we may let you play again; but only after you renounce your fear/hate/obstructionism/purity ideology.

  23. ThinkAgain

    Historical facts:

The Republicans had 8 years under Bush/Cheney to enact meaningful health care reform – and they didn't do it.

And regarding all the noise Republicans like to make about how much health care reform will cost, Republicans don't know diddly squat about economics; if they did, then:

    – they wouldn't have cut taxes under Reagan while greatly increasing the defense budget, which resulted in huge deficits. (The S&L crisis happened during Republican administrations, too.)

    – Bush wouldn't have irresponsibly cut taxes during wartime, taking the surplus he inherited and turning it into a huge deficit. (The global financial meltdown of 2008 happened during a Republican administration.)

    – Republicans wouldn't have started two unfunded wars.

Conclusion: Republicans don't know diddly about health care reform, nor do they know diddly about sound financial policy.

    $500,000,000 in Medicare Cuts?
2,000,000,000 Seniors will lose their Medicare Advantage Plan?
Small Business owners will have higher taxes & higher fees?
Oh and there are those investors who are going to get taxed on every investment income that there is?
Somebody needs to do some "fact checking here" Josh @ CNN
Does anyone else see what he's doing here, he's using the fear tactic to convince Seniors that they are going loose something that is very important to them. Fear generally overtakes reason. One more observation and question, review the above clip, isn't a little early to be out drinking with the boys? Is their a slurring of his voice? Just asking.

Let it go Orange Crush! REAL Americans are hurting while you are posturing. We know you hate President Obama, okay. We get it, alright? Now get out of the way and let the man govern. You people will have your turn when you win again, and you will because this country is not done stabbing itself in its collective eye with a fork. After the Bush years, I can't believe that you people have not been driven out of the country. But of course there are those who love misery. The rest of us, however, don't wish to keep you company.
