Obama rallies Dems on the Hill

Washington (CNN) - President Obama said Saturday that after a year of debate, Congress is on the threshold of passing health care reform legislation.

"This piece of historic legislation is built on the private insurance system that we have now and runs straight down the center of American political thought," he told lawmakers Saturday.

"We are making sure that the system of private insurance works for ordinary families," he said, calling the legislation a "patient's bill of rights on steroids" and "the toughest insurance reform in history."

The bill is expected to go up for a House vote on Sunday.

"If you agree that the system is not working for ordinary families, if you've heard the same stories that I've heard everywhere, all across the country, then help us fix the system," Obama said in urging lawmakers to pass the bill. "

I absolutely positively hate you mr president, I hate everything you stand for I hate liberals so much and its so so very sad what we are all witness too. there is no way this will help this country in the long run, no way. all I have to do is look who is for this and listen to what they say and I know they are either stupid or liberal scum who always hated everything about this country. well I guess soon it will be our turn to hate everything about this beautiful country we once had. I hope you ignorant independents who got caught up in all the media hype of this election realize how tragic your ignorance was, and what it has cost all of us. this man will no doubt be a 1 term president but that doesn't even matter now, it doesn't even matter that these america hating liberals will all be gone Nov. because they will be done by then, all finished up with their crazy view of balance and justice. Thank God I am rich! I just can't help to feel bad for the ignorant.

. . . . racist Tea Party protestors chant loudly "N-word" epithets to African-American House members as they passed by the protestors. It was no mistake. Dozens of non-protestors were horrified to witness hundreds of Tea Party protestors hurl "N-word" racial epithets at law makers as they were filing in for the speech.

This guy just does not get it. People are angry. It happened when Scott Brown was elected. I cannot understand how he could become our President. I am ashamed of him right now.How can he be so partisan. Shame on you Mr. President.

I watched in horror as one Democrat after another lied and crowed about it. Do they not think that we cannot figure it out that we are paying for ten years for 6 years worth of benfit. Do they think that we are not aware of the "Doctor fix" than when passed will blow the cost way out of the water. Do they not think we know that insurance companies 2% profit is not way to much, especially when many of our 401K's and other retirement instruments depend on them. Do they not think we know that companies like Caterpiller will be forced to move their operations off shore because of this. The Democrats think the American people are stupid and they are treating us like morons through these ridiculous speeches. The only ones who believe any of the crap they spout are drug addled.

The time for doing something right and moral and human for the People of this nation has finally come. We should be proud of standing up for our own best interests against that of greedy, souless insurance companies who abuse us and kill us for more profit.

This healthcare bill is a victory for the PEOPLE!

Thank you President Obama and the Democratic Party of the People for standing up and fighting for US!

Republicans only stand up for lies, hatred, racism, and harmful corporations, banks and insurance companies who buy their votes.
Republicans work AGAINST all things to help working families. They are traitors to YOU and I and it is time to remove these lying, hypocritical Republicans from any postiion of leadership in Nov.

We need to move America forward with DEMOCRATS who always stand up for the People and who have worked hard for us all year.

  10. How are you paying for it???

You can spin it however you want to, but let's stick to some facts:

You're raising TAXES on people 500+ billion dollars.

You know darn well that is isn't doing anything to lower costs.

Many, many Doctors have already said they will quit if GOVT dictate pricing, and this will deter those thinking about entering MED school.

First, I'll cheat on my taxes because I'm tired of paying for other people. I say enough is enough.

Second, the majority of the US doesn't want it, so quit saying its what Americans want. IT's only a minority.

Third, the day will come with DUMocRATS won't have the majority in Congress, and this Piece of Crap bill will be REPEALED, and I hope I can stand in your face to laugh at you when it does.

Yep, it's not a savings bill, it's a TAX some people more so you can hand it over to others.

Yeah, Mr. Transparency (Well, that was a lie).
Going to change Washingtno (Another lie, you've made it worse).
Control spending (Nope, more than tripled the deficit. Way to go loser).

Basically, you stink worse than Jimmy Carter.

    Your Social Security

Just in case some of you youngsters (& some older ones) didn't know this. It's easy to check out, if you don't believe it. Be sure and show it to your kids. They need a little history lesson on what's what and it doesn't matter whether you are Democrat or Republican. Facts are Facts!!!
    Our Social Security
Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program. He promised:
1.) That participation in the Program would be completely voluntary,
    No longer Voluntary
2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual Incomes into the Program,
Now 7.65% on the first $90,000
3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year,
    No longer tax deductible
4.) That the money the participants put into the independent 'Trust Fund' rather than into the general operating fund, and therefore, would
only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program, and, Under Johnson the money was moved to the general fund and spent
5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income.
Under Clinton & Gore Up to 85% of your Social Security can be taxed
Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and some are now receiving a Social Security check every month – and then finding that you get taxed on 85% of the money paid to the Federal government to 'put away' – you may be interested in the following:
Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent 'Trust Fund' and put it into the general fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically controlled House and Senate.
: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
    A: The Democratic Party.
Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?
A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the 'tie-breaking' deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the US
Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?
    A: That's right!
Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party. immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! The
Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!
    -- – -- - -– -- - -
Then, after violating the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!

And the worst part about this is that uninformed citizens believe it and are letting the Democratic party do the same thing to your healthcare. All broken promises that will cost you dearly in the end!!!

That's one horrible system there!!!! Too bad he, and Congress, took their eye off the ball and decided to reform health care INSURANCE instead of health CARE!!!!!!!!!!
