Romney gets behind health care repeal push
(CNN) - Former and likely future presidential candidate Mitt Romney is vowing to support conservative lawmakers who pledge to repeal aspects of the health care reform bill that President Obama signed into law Tuesday.
Called "Prescription for Repeal," the new effort from Romney's Free and Strong Political Action Committee is promising to fund members of Congress who "will repeal the worst aspects of Obamacare and restore commonsense principles to healthcare," according to a statement released Wednesday.
Romney's PAC has already singled out three GOP members of Congress from Ohio: Reps. Jean Schmidt, Steve Chabot, and Steve Stivers. The PAC is sending each candidate $2,500 for their primary campaigns.
Appearing on CNN's Larry King Live Tuesday night, Romney took aim at Obama for failing to attract any Republican support for the health care reform legislation.
"What he is supposed to do is have a plan that is bipartisan," Romney said. "The process was one which violated the principles which he played out during the campaign and was a power push by a single party."

If Romney won the Republican nomination, he would have been our next President. He's honest , smart and logical. Our country would have been very proud of him. We wouldn't have these problems today. The Massuchusetts Health plan is much superior than what the Democrats have showed down our throats.
The truth is coming out on Obama's health plan. The Democrats cherry picked all the good things from the Republicans and are implemnting these items this year to dupe all the voters that their plan is so great. Wait until 2013-2014 and then we will see how great this plan will be? The chjerries will be eaten by then. The problem is it will be too late to hold those responsible, the guilty will be all gone or re-elected in 2012.
It's a shame how crooked and /stretching the truth the democrats have become. It's also a shame how the public has been duped by the crooked Democrats and the press doesn't help. We have too many young journalists out of schol that are very nieve when it comes to everyday life, they get duped very easily by the spin of the Democratic Administration. .
The lack of bipartisanship is the fault of the Republicans – and Romney knows it.
Hundreds of Republican amendments were adopted during the committee mark-up process. But being the jerks that they are, the Republicans still didn't vote for the bill.
Why? Because they'd rather hurt Americans than help them in their efforts to regain political power by trying to make our President and our country fail.
Romney and all the other Republicans who insist on using lies, fear, division and hate are nothing but a bunch of pathetic losers. They have nothing but tried-and-failed economic, military and foreign policies, so they resort to bullying.
No amount of pretty faces put forward by the GOP will ever change that FACT.

Seriously? Who is he trying to fool? After almost a year of trying to get the Republicans to play nice, I think President Obama just gave up as he had no other choice if he wanted to get this done. I can't believe the outright lies being told day in and day out on tv. I also can't believe that the minute the bill was passed it became a fundraising tool for all the idiot Repubs. I feel that the Repubs and teaparty jerks have turned this country into a 3 ring circus. I am sick of seeing grown adults acting like little kids, and not very well behaved little kids at that.

Step 1 – Refuse to come to the table, offer tenable NEW ideas or cooperate in any manner FROM THE GET GO.
Step 2 – Engage in rampant demogoguery during Step 1....waxing McCarthyistic, spouting fabrications, spreading blatant misinformation and just plain trying to scare, anger and confuse everyone.
Step 3 – Never compromise or meet inthe middle and eventually march in lockstep into the House/Senate chambers to vote along party lines as was planned all along.
Step 4 – Claim it was the other guy's fault.
Step 5 – America profits?
Mr. Romney, it's very difficult to have bipartisan support when the Grand Obstructionist Party says No to everything.
I find Mitt Romney's comments amazing and hypocritical. The Health Care bill that was passed is similar to the one he initiated when he was Governor of Massachusetts. The Republicans have no intention of working with President Obama on any domestic issue. They are the "Party of NO"
The GOP sure does think America is stupid. To some point, I agree. For the GOP to let one of their poster boys go parading around as a health care opponent while his own state has nearly the same program in place goes beyond the regular pale of hypocrisy. They are banking on Americans to be stupid enough to overlook this glaring fact. Unfortunately, many will, because they are too lazy to educate themselves, and it's easier for dumb people to be captivated by the shiny objects FOX / GOP News wags in front of them.

Lewis on Sunday with the N-word. why don't you speak out against people who smashed windows of Democratic Congressmen and women? must be because you and the thuglican party sympathize with their racist views. there has been not one peep about these issues from you, McCain, Palin, Gingrich, Barbour, Pawlenty, Huckabee, Beaner, or the rest of you racist states-rights groupies. you don't stand up for what's right, just for The Right Wing. you don't stand up for the poor and disenfranchised, you stand up for the wealthy, like you Twit, just like you did at Bain Capital when you wasted thousands of jobs at companies you took over that you led to bankruptcy. how many of those workers got health benefits after they lost their jobs, Twit? how many disenfranchised Americans got health insurance while the GOP was in power for 12 years in Congress, at the same time that health insurance premiums rose every single year? And, that is how the majority in the country feel as well--including the majority of Independents.
Just like in Virginia, New Jersey, and Massachusetts--the Independents will be voting with the Republicans AGAINST the Democrats.

Republicans! Only thing they did in the past 8 years was destroy our economy, fatten the wallets of big business, and lie to the people. Now, all they want to do is criticize this administration for trying to get things done. A Democrat could put forth a bill that fixes all of America's issues, and that satisfies all opposing issues, and the Repubs would still berate it, find fault with it, and criticize it, and object to it. Why? Becasue they want their jobs back to gain control once again. Their lack of support has nothing to do with the People, and everything to do with gaining back the power in office they once had. Politics at the sake of the American people makes me wish I was Canadian! What an embarassment to the Political system, and shame on them for sowing seeds of division!

I went through all of medical school in my twenties without health insurance, while I was training to make people healthy. This plan would have covered me then, and covers my adult children now.
I am also an employer who has waited 10 years to provide health insurance to my small office staff, but was denied because of number of employees. And I was willing to pay high prices. My staff thanks you. And my accountant says I will get credits. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am going to campaign against all Republicans who campaigned against what I call the "the Civil Right to Have Insurance".
Mitt, stop being a hypocrite and come back over to your centrist/non-republican roots. Remember, you were the first successful universal health pioneer. Remember, only Democrats would vote for a Mormon.
