Palin warns of 'Second Holocaust' if Iran gains nuclear weapons

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Just minutes after the clock expired on the first day of Passover, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin issued a biting critique of the Obama administration's Middle-East policy."]Washington (CNN) – Just minutes after the clock expired on the first day of Passover, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin issued a biting critique of the Obama administration's Middle-East policy via her Facebook page.

In a post entitled "Peace Not Possible if Iran Escapes Real Sanctions," Palin accuses President Obama of dropping the pursuit of "crippling" sanctions against Iran and treating Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu like an "unwelcome guest" during a recent visit to Washington.

"[J]ust as the Obama administration inexplicably gives up on imposing crippling sanctions on Iran, it's taken an uncompromising hard line against one country in the Middle East: Israel," Palin writes. "On his recent visit to Washington, the Israeli Prime Minister was treated like an unwelcome guest, as shown by White House actions such as refusing to be photographed with Israel's Prime Minister."

Palin argues that the Obama administration's actions have failed to rein in Tehran's nuclear ambitions, and that more than one year into Obama's presidency, his administration has made "no progress" on sanctions.

"The Obama administration has their priorities exactly backwards; we should be working with our friend and democratic ally to stop Iran's nuclear program, not throwing in the towel on sanctions while treating Israel like an enemy."

Palin warns that the consequences of a nuclear Iran would be devastating for Israel.

"Iran's leaders have repeatedly called for the destruction of Israel and with nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them, the mullahs would be in a position to launch a Second Holocaust," Palin writes.

"We foresee a regional nuclear arms race beginning as other countries seek their own nuclear weapons to protect themselves from Iran. Nuclear non-proliferation efforts would be over," she added.

Last week, President Obama met at the White House with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a meeting that was closed to the press. Netanyahu also met with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden during his trip to Washington.

The Israeli leader met with administration officials after a show of solidarity with leaders of Congress from both parties, during which he thanked the U.S. lawmakers for their "constant support" and "unflagging" friendship.

Netanyahu's visit came amid a row over Israel's decision to build new Jewish housing on disputed land in East Jerusalem.

Why does anyone care what this woman says again? What does she do beside update her Facebook and over charge people for public appearances? Just listening to her try to speak can be compared to sitting through a root canal. Just another politician speaking nonsense, but the only difference is she has no relevance to US politics any more, thank you baby Jesus.

She thinks she is the expert in everything. Everyone that idolizes this woman do me a favor and read Game Change. She is brain dead. She is stupid. John McCain unleashed this thing and now there is no shutting up her horrible voice and her vicious attacks. She is plain and simple a MORON. No subtance – just a very negative attitude and stupid talking points.

Sarah Palin: stick to your celebrity appearances and leave policy and International affairs to people that have a brain and actually know what they are talking about.

CNN, when are you going to challenge this moron? We all know that Ms I-had-to-attend-five- junior-colleges-to-get-one-degree-in journalism Palin is not wise enough (didnt say smart) to put these things together. By the way, sanctions have been put in place for years on this country; to no avail, or didnt she know that?

ah, I see Sarah has become well-schooled in all facets of the Middle East's dynamic political situation – she could probably give Kissinger and both Clintons some pointers on how to deal with those A-rabs. I didn't realize she could see Iran from her kitchen window.

Little Miss Foreign policy herself. What a fraud. What newspaper did she read to come up with this?

If and when Sarah Palin can find either Israel or Iran on a map then maybe, maybe I will take the time to consider listening to what she says. People who listen to this woman should question their own intelligence and sanity.

The way you spout about things that you know NOTHING about makes me think you surround yourself with catty women that know no better than to gossip about misinformed truths and lie about the rest because it sounds good. I don't think the City of Wasilla would even hire you back as the mayor if you applied for the job. Who would reelect you?

I don't know how it is possible, but, each day Sarah Palin looks more and more clueless on anything that matters. I'd like Sarah to explain, in detail, how these 'crippling sanctions'(or her version of them) would be imposed and who would be joining us in their enforcement....oops, sorry, perhaps we're not allowed to ask those type of 'gotcha' questions. She is nothing more than a soundbite and it is sad that the media gives her the platform they do.

It astounds me how the media finds it necessary to tell us about every little blip in this Ms. Palin's mind.
The elections results have spoken....her ideas were rejected my majority
but the media thinks that by repeatedly selling her the greater public at large will buy her.
Only the fringe right will play into that...those that are angry over the election results.
For goodness sake let us move on. The country is indeed ready for woman president but not this one.
So please stop trying to repackage rotten fish. It smelled during the election and it smells today, and it will smell in 2012.
Speech like this will only serve to enrage the dis-satisfied that feel bitter about the results of 2008.
If she really wants to be a credible alternative, she needs to put forward a plan to solve the jobs problem.
I wish she can offer a viable solution to the Mideast problems instead of hurling Molotov cocktails at the fire.

You know very well Palin didn't write this, but you choose to pretend she did. Why? Can't you at least say "a post on Palin's Facebook page," and "according to the post," rather than "Palin writes" and "Palin warns." Don't you care that a figure with great political influence passes herself off as the author of an essay, or an autobiography, when it's plain to anyone with a lick of sense that she IS NOT THE AUTHOR???

sarah darlin' – now that y'all have gone & given the iranians unprecedented power in the middle east, emboldening their nuclear program, darn it – once again pres. obama's going to have to go in and clean up yer mess! he's not goin' to do no cutesy-pie photo-ops just to kiss up to the israelis & shill for election money. no siree. he's smarter'n that, pullin' in folks behind the scenes who got influence with the iranians e.g. the chinese. this all's probably too complicated fer yer 'i can see russia' foreign expertise. but hey, that's how the big dogs roll, li'l lady!

Foreign policy advice from Sarah Palin... If only President Obama could SEE the Middle East from the White House, he'd have this whole thing sorted out.

This isn't news. This is a COWARD posting on Facebook after she QUIT her job as governor. Why doesn't she hold a press conference to announce this? Oh yeah, then she'd have to answer pesky questions from the "lame stream" media as she says. CNN, stop giving this moron attention unless she has the guts to appear in an arena where she is accountable to answer questions on her brash statements.
