Palin warns of 'Second Holocaust' if Iran gains nuclear weapons

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Just minutes after the clock expired on the first day of Passover, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin issued a biting critique of the Obama administration's Middle-East policy."]Washington (CNN) – Just minutes after the clock expired on the first day of Passover, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin issued a biting critique of the Obama administration's Middle-East policy via her Facebook page.

In a post entitled "Peace Not Possible if Iran Escapes Real Sanctions," Palin accuses President Obama of dropping the pursuit of "crippling" sanctions against Iran and treating Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu like an "unwelcome guest" during a recent visit to Washington.

"[J]ust as the Obama administration inexplicably gives up on imposing crippling sanctions on Iran, it's taken an uncompromising hard line against one country in the Middle East: Israel," Palin writes. "On his recent visit to Washington, the Israeli Prime Minister was treated like an unwelcome guest, as shown by White House actions such as refusing to be photographed with Israel's Prime Minister."

Palin argues that the Obama administration's actions have failed to rein in Tehran's nuclear ambitions, and that more than one year into Obama's presidency, his administration has made "no progress" on sanctions.

"The Obama administration has their priorities exactly backwards; we should be working with our friend and democratic ally to stop Iran's nuclear program, not throwing in the towel on sanctions while treating Israel like an enemy."

Palin warns that the consequences of a nuclear Iran would be devastating for Israel.

"Iran's leaders have repeatedly called for the destruction of Israel and with nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them, the mullahs would be in a position to launch a Second Holocaust," Palin writes.

"We foresee a regional nuclear arms race beginning as other countries seek their own nuclear weapons to protect themselves from Iran. Nuclear non-proliferation efforts would be over," she added.

Last week, President Obama met at the White House with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a meeting that was closed to the press. Netanyahu also met with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden during his trip to Washington.

The Israeli leader met with administration officials after a show of solidarity with leaders of Congress from both parties, during which he thanked the U.S. lawmakers for their "constant support" and "unflagging" friendship.

Netanyahu's visit came amid a row over Israel's decision to build new Jewish housing on disputed land in East Jerusalem.

Palin obviously forgets that she and McCain LOST their bid for the White House and presumes a lot, especially as she is NOT privy to intelligence information . . . well she lacks intelligence . . .PERIOD. She fans the flames of dissension within the United States, attempting to further divide citizens, stir anger, and now taking a shot at doing the same with International Issues. Go home Palin and watch Russia from your home. That is as close to International Issues as you should be allowed.

There she goes again. When is her mouth stop running? She should leave the Obama administration decide what they want to do with Iran. Here is a lady who abandoned her own office and now is telling the administration how to run the government. Shame on Fox news to add another spiteful person to push there agenda of condemning the administration. As far as Israel, you do not decide to build new Jewish housing on disputed land while vice president Biden was visiting Israel. That was a slap on the face. The Israel's have to learn to dialogue and the middle east peace process should continue. Palin has no world political smarts as well as internal political smarts , so she should not add fire in something she is not qualified to comment on. If I have seen anyone trying to pave the way for there political career she sure is not doing it the right way. Does she understand and see the polls that is telling her she is not the right person to run the country. There will be a woman president in our country, and as far as I am concerned it is not Sara Palin. she she needs to go fishing. God Bless our country.

Bush Jr. caused the power void with Iran by falsely taking us to war with Iraq, Thank God President Obama is still working on this urgent matter, and thank God he did not sending Oliver North to Iran with more plane load of US bombs and technology to appease them and most of all – Thank God he didn’t just quit in the middle of this job because the job was too hard! Just because you can see a country from your back yard and called important allies and world leaders ugly does mean you have the experience or knowledge to deal with these matters. My advice – stop spiking your Tea.

This is an absurd posting by a person who has no idea about the world and the foriegn policy issues. This is the same Sarah Palin who showed a complete lack of any knowledge of international affairs when she was a Vice-Presidential candidates and now she writes to criticize the US President and speards fear among all Americans so that we cannot progress. Shame on Sarah Palin for spreading fear and hatred in this country.

Now about Netanyahu's visit from Israel. The decision was made by them to expand settlements when they had agreed that they won't. They disrepsected our Vice-President who had gone to visit that area to further the peace process. Also, during the visit Israel refused to back down from expanding settlements when the peace process in middle east is at a halt because of their actions.

So, Ms. Palin and her followers, just think rationally and logically: what would you do if your friends do things against what has been agreed upon? And, would you not want everyone in the relationship to be responsible?

Oh, I forgot, Sarah Palin cannot be exepcted to be rational and logical; only to intice fear and war-mongering. Does this show that she has regard for the people of this country? Does she even understand what a holocaust is? I think not.

Palin states on her Facebook that she "......wants our government to do everything in its power to prevent Iran from acquiring nukes." Wow, what an original thought!

Maybe we should invade Iran immediately. Oops, we have no available military to do that right now. Maybe we use the NYPD, the Alaska National Guard, state troopers, and even boyscouts to launch the attack. We'd show 'em what real Americans can do. You betcha!

As usual, Palin stirs the dust, but never has a viable solution. I wish we'd send her to Tehran to resolve the issue once and for all!

Sarah Palin is a loose canon and/or a rowboat with only one oar in the water. These latest revelations, from the woman who can see the terrible Russia from her front porch (airhead alert), are coming from the Republican Vice Presidential Candidate who slept through daily briefings provided by NSA and CIA to McCain and Palin leading up to the 2008 elections. Perhaps Sarah should request an inventory of the nuclear weapons sold, from America, to Israel so long ago. We, the wonderful Americans, created the nuclear arms race in the Middle East by selling nuclear weapons to the Israelis, decades ago. When the time comes, the nuclear capabilities that Iran is seeking, will be destroyed by the Russians and Americans. Russia has a greater understanding of the nuclear issues in the Middle East, perhaps Sarah Palin could use a Navy Blinker Light and send a, Morse Code, request for additional information to the Russians, right from the security of her front porch.

Does she know where Iran is, let alone what Obama is doing? Does she know any history of Iran and US-Iran relations? Perhaps she thinks we should march in there and just take over the country? Maybe she thinks a third war for the US to initiate is a proper course of action?

Has this woman, who has repeatedly shown no understanding of world geography, world politics, or world history, let alone US-foreign relations and policy, suddenly decided she is qualified to act as a critic?

Really Ms Palin what do you know about Foreign Relations, do you even know how to look a country on a World Map?? oh yes, you can see Russia from your front porch and that gives you credentials ...

This "biting critique" is nothing more than Palin's Masters attempting to reshape the electoral landscape by making Florida jews afraid of Obama. She'll issue these critiques occasionally between now and 2012 and then, if things don't go well in the Middle East (which they never do) and Iran is still causing problems (which they always will), she'll point back to what will, at that time, will be described by Republican pundits as her "prescient analysis" of Middle East policy, which will obviously be, "an indication of Barack 'Hussein' Obama's hostility toward Israel and reversal of the special security relationship between the United States and our Israeli allies."

The sad thing is that this view is not the least bit cynical. It is merely what our politics have become.

I'm still curious to ask why does CNN or any other serious news agency continue to listen to this person who quit on the job and left her state when they needed her the most.

Is she serious!!! Who does she think is she judging the President. So, who would you perfer to represent the United in a serious debate about substance....quiter Palan who could not even answer a simple question concerning what newspapers she read or Preseident Obama.

A pretty sure if she was in the White House she would be doing the same things President Obama is doing. It's easy to talk trash when no one is holding your feet to the fire each and every minute.

    wink wink....hopey chaney stuff hah!!

I hold John McCain personally responsible for bringing this dolt to national attention. She has no regard for what she says. All she wants to do is keep the spotlight on her.

The intelligence of her commentary is most evident in her bizarre decision to capitalize the word "second" before "Holocast."

Palin is dead on accurate in her assessment of Obama. All Obama and the world has done is talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk... I guess his Svengali magic didn't work with the Iranians.

All the while Iran has moved forward with their nuclear weapons program. I guess Obama's strategy is to blame Bush when Israel gets nuked.

Palin has gone beyond ignorance – she is truly dangerous. How dare she use such rhetoric in discussing a highly sensitive foreign policy issue – and how dare she act like she is such a expert on Jewish issues. Most of my Jewish friends find her laughable, and if Obama really had it out for Israel and the Jews, why would he have appointed Rahm Emmanuel – the son of an Israeli doctor and very-religious Jew (Kosher kitchen, kids at Yeshiva, I think that qualifies him as religious) as his freaking Chief of Staff? Also, Joe Biden has been one of the biggest non-Jewish supporters of Israel in the US for much of his career! The fact is that while most Israeli citizens may be friends of the US, the current Israeli government is woefully determined to keep up their own expansion at the expense of lasting peace. Obviously, we all know Iran is dangerous, thanks for pointing that obvious fact out Sarah.

BUT YOU TOLD THEM WHAT WOULD HAPPEN WITH THE ELDERLY UNDER HIS HEALTH PLAN. THIS HAS COME TRUE. HOW MUCH MORE IGNORANCE DO THESE FOLKS HAVE. PALIN 2012
