Palin warns of 'Second Holocaust' if Iran gains nuclear weapons

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Just minutes after the clock expired on the first day of Passover, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin issued a biting critique of the Obama administration's Middle-East policy."]Washington (CNN) – Just minutes after the clock expired on the first day of Passover, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin issued a biting critique of the Obama administration's Middle-East policy via her Facebook page.

In a post entitled "Peace Not Possible if Iran Escapes Real Sanctions," Palin accuses President Obama of dropping the pursuit of "crippling" sanctions against Iran and treating Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu like an "unwelcome guest" during a recent visit to Washington.

"[J]ust as the Obama administration inexplicably gives up on imposing crippling sanctions on Iran, it's taken an uncompromising hard line against one country in the Middle East: Israel," Palin writes. "On his recent visit to Washington, the Israeli Prime Minister was treated like an unwelcome guest, as shown by White House actions such as refusing to be photographed with Israel's Prime Minister."

Palin argues that the Obama administration's actions have failed to rein in Tehran's nuclear ambitions, and that more than one year into Obama's presidency, his administration has made "no progress" on sanctions.

"The Obama administration has their priorities exactly backwards; we should be working with our friend and democratic ally to stop Iran's nuclear program, not throwing in the towel on sanctions while treating Israel like an enemy."

Palin warns that the consequences of a nuclear Iran would be devastating for Israel.

"Iran's leaders have repeatedly called for the destruction of Israel and with nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them, the mullahs would be in a position to launch a Second Holocaust," Palin writes.

"We foresee a regional nuclear arms race beginning as other countries seek their own nuclear weapons to protect themselves from Iran. Nuclear non-proliferation efforts would be over," she added.

Last week, President Obama met at the White House with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a meeting that was closed to the press. Netanyahu also met with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden during his trip to Washington.

The Israeli leader met with administration officials after a show of solidarity with leaders of Congress from both parties, during which he thanked the U.S. lawmakers for their "constant support" and "unflagging" friendship.

Netanyahu's visit came amid a row over Israel's decision to build new Jewish housing on disputed land in East Jerusalem.

Very true, Ahmadinajad seeks Israel's destruction and is added by the weakness and downright hostility of our enabler-in-chief.

Iran wouldn't dare attack Israel with a nuke. If they did, the retaliation would wipe them off the face of the earth. If there is another Holocaust, it will come from Palin's Tea Party. They already remind me of the Nazi party in Germany in the 1930's. All they do is preach hate and fear.

WHY does anyone pay attention to Sarah Palin??? She was the one-term mayor of an Alaskan town of 5,000 people before she was the 1/2 term governor of a state with 670,000 people. My kids have more knowledge of world affairs than her.

It's totally clear that Sarah uses the rhetoric of fear to elevate herself as somehow knowledgeable about any of this. Isolation breeds resentment, & engagement produces understanding. Sanctions have not worked thus far and are unlikely to produce results in the future, though they at least show Iran that countries are aligned in this resistance to a potential nuclear weapons program. But, to claim this administration is not working with our allies to prevent nuclear weapons production in Iran is absurd. Sarah, read a paper once in awhile!!

You guys realize that invading Iraq and toppling Saddam was a really boneheaded move on our part. As evil as he was, he was keeping Iran in check and doing our dirty work. Way to go, neoclowns. Have a nice day!

Why are Sarah Palin's comments newsworthy?? She ran away from her job in Alaska because it was too hard. Do you really think she is capable of running the country?? Stop covering the quitter!

I hate to admit it, but I actually agree with her on these two issues. Very worrysome.

Funny how the majority of crowd the follows Palin's ignorant lead are the same people who call for the destruction of blacks, minorities, and yes..JEWS, and now caribou hunter is acting like she is Israel's best friend. Save your time Sarah, we Jewish people don't like you, and I doubt you can do a better job than Barry is on Iran. The Iranian people will see how dumb you are and realize that following their coon dictator is probably a wiser choice than listening and working with you.

Watching her suck up to Israel is pathetic. Israel is, by far, the dominant local power in the Middle East. It could mop the floor with Iran if it so chose. Israel has been ignoring the US for years as it knows it is the tail that wags the dog. No US President can stand up to Israel without risking a) being branded an anti-Semite, and b) losing support & cash from big-money Jews in the US.

Her cluelessness knows no bounds. So whenever you bemoan Obama's performance in the White House, consider this cretin would have been second in command and a constant, visible face representing our country.

The political prostitute in her knows that there is a ton of money to be gained by kowtowing to the Israel lobby. Pat Buchanan accurately referred to Congress as 'Israeli-Occupied Territory'. She just wants a piece of the pie.

We've been trying to help solve the Israel Palestinain issue since 1947 when we inherited this little "problem" from the British dating all the way back to the Balfour Declaration in 1917. In all that time the Israelis have been remarkably uncooperative in actually helping resolve the situation.

I'm all in favor of supporting America's majority interests.....but the Jewish population of America is less than why do we keep bending over backwards for the interests of 2% of our population when the other 98% would benefit from a resolution of the Palestinian situation? Because it's the "right thing to do"? When will the Israeli's do the "right thing" for the millions of Palestinians living in tent slums?

If Israel were actually stabilizing the middle east I'd understand....but the major reason the middle east seems destabilized is BECAUSE of the Palestinian situation. And Hot Shot Palin doesn't know enough about world history to even open her mouth in this matter, much less say something cohesive and relevant.

if you give someone enough time, they will show you who they really are! So far America, what has she shown us?

The palm of her hand, The "palling around w/ Communists (China Trip)", a book which was bought by PAC constributions at full price, then given away for $5 w/ a subscription, country wide travels promoting people who don't like her but they know she brings crowds, a horrendous interview with Couric, a new reality show (not surprised) , and resignation from her post becuase of "legal issues", not to mention a stint at standup, SNL parodies, and know she is qualified to know what is exactly going on with Iran & Isreal and recent posts news channels (Fox included) saying the exact opposite.......I'd rather have Dan (Potatoe) Quayle anyday!

Look out. Ol' empty head is trying to form thoughts again.. and she's like a chattering little monkey trying to get attention... Just as every drunk in a bar thinks he knows how to run the country, so does "the no minded one"..... I guess it’s true what they say; dumb people don't know that they are dumb. They think people laughing at them agree with their ideas.

Palin's ignorance knows no limits. She is so ignorant that she fails to understand, that Obama cannot impose sanctions alone, as other countries would continue to do business with Iran, leaving U.S. sanctions meaningless. Plus I bet she can't find Iran on the map. No it's not next to Alaska. Thank God this idiot did not get elected! She makes Bush look like and gensis!!!!

Only an astounding lack of context could provide Ms. Palin the capability to level such criticism. Where has she been these last few weeks? Shooting wolves from helicopters?

Sarah, first it was a "secret meeting" , now you say Obama is snubbing the Israeli leader....which is it? And to hear Holocaust from you, I thought that was what will happen to all us moderates, liberals, Italians, Irish, Blacks, Asians, etc., if you become prez. You are the white supremacist in the room who says "O'Biden" and feels uncomfortable around Asians. You are just a puppet pitbull w/ lipstick...attack girl! .
