Fey likely to revive Palin impersonation

Tina Fey is likely to bring back her Sarah Palin impersonation.

Tina Fey is likely to bring back her Sarah Palin impersonation.

(CNN) - Writers for Saturday Night Live likely completed a sketch featuring Tina Fey's infamous impersonation of Sarah Palin Tuesday, Fey told NBC's the Today Show.

Fey, a onetime cast member of the late night comedy program who is set to serve as its host this weekend, said she hasn't seen the sketch yet but will do an initial run through of it Wednesday.

"I am going to read through later today and see what's up. They wrote last night," Fey said. "I am sure we will try something."

Fey, whose impersonations of Palin in 2008 were widely-credited with shaping perceptions of the then-Republican vice presidential nominee, told the U.K. paper The Telegraph earlier this week she hasn't been keeping up with Palin's latest moves.

"I haven't been watching her on television lately because I've been working on '30 Rock,'" she said.

While Fey's impersonation of Palin won wide praise, the comedienne indicated back in 2008 it's not a character she is keen on reviving.

"I want to be done playing this lady Nov. 5," she said in reference to Election Day, 2008. "So if anybody can help me be done playing this lady Nov. 5, that would be good for me."

Wow! The libs are so infatuated by Palin.

It's sad that libs can only resort to personal attacks instead of providing a lucid statement supporting their beliefs. Why not simply provide well thought out responses that help sway others to see it your way instead of loosing all credibility with your hate-filled emotional responses?

Oh and "truth" you are so self deluded that I'm surprised you can maintain verticality.

  6. Yay!

Tina Fey's SP is one of SNL's best bits ever - looking forward to more hilarity. The reason satire works is because it hits on truths that people are too squeamish to say out loud. Go Tina!

Palin has earned a place in history as a VP candidate and governor of Alaska. Fey won't be remembered by history, because herstory is not history.

The right just doesn't get it – we liberals would love for Palin to run for President – can't wait. Even if she doesn't run she's still out there being stupid and reminding people what a dope John McCain was. Yes Sarah is cashing in but so did Anna Nicole Smith and Jessica Simpson. That doesn't make them any smarter it just makes them hucksters (to be polite) and their fans stupid accomplices.

Oh no wait that is just lemmings like you......I'm a real American and I would vote for Tina Fey for ANYTHING before it would even dawn on me to consider Sarah Palin....for ANYTHING!!!!

Great! Can't wait to see Tina Fey again getting down to the "essential" Sarah Palin. That will be a reason to stay up late and tune in.

No one is fearful of Palin. What we fear are the mindless sheep that follow her who, unfortunately, can cast ballots. And as far as Michelle Bachman and Sarah Palin on the same stage? Invective, blame, condescension, God, guns, no to health care etc etc. What we won't see or hear? Any original or intelligent thought.

The only thing the left fears about Sarah Palin is her ignorance. Having her as our President scares the bejesus out of me.

Palin is a moron and the people who follow her are even bigger morons. She is only out to do what all Republicans do which is to stuff as much money in their pockets as possible.

WTH: why oh why is the media pertraying Palin as "something" when in fact the woman is such a "no body". I mean if people really looked at her history she has yet to complete anything she has started other then having children, which she didn't even raise her children. SAD

  24. Conservatives are Dumb

Do the Republicans really think that putting Bachman and Palin together is a good idea? Between these two pea-brains and Michael Steele, they have the collective intelligence of a mentally challenged goat.

Tina Fey, see who is the joke now. Palin has become a star in any sense she deserves, whereas you remain a miserable joker. Like so many extremely left jokers, you would soon join others going down the road of divoce. Sorry, it is not very funny!
