Palin, Bachmann rally conservatives

Minneapolis, Minnesota (CNN) - Republican hot button Sarah Palin took the stage Wednesday in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, calling on conservatives to "get our country back on the right track."

"It's not going to be easy. This is a challenge," she told the crowd. "The first task is to restore balance and common sense, and the first test will be at the ballot box in November."

The former Alaska governor and current conservative superstar headlined the event hosted by the Republican Party of Minnesota. Her last appearance in Minnesota was for her book tour in December.

Palin also offered a direct thank you to members of the Tea Party movement.

"I thank you for being part of this beautiful grassroots movement that's really sweeping across our country and it is full of common-sense conservatives who are ready to take our country back."

Sarah Palin is a superstar only because she so clearly presents ideas that so many of us know will work. "

    Has she actually presented anything?

Liberals just don't see straight. They seem to understand how all the mainstream media and 45% of America worship Obama, a man with no excutive job experience before becoming president. They just don't see how another 45% of America can admire Sarah Palin, who has a real college education, has held real executive offcies where budgets had to be balanced and not propped up by printing money, has been a hero through hard life situations (her daughter's pregnancy and her own Down's Syndrome child), and has the confidence to speak like a common person instead of jutting an Ivy Leaugu chin into the air. Go figure–must be blind hatred or maybe even sexism!

Please get out of my state and take ol' crazy eyes Bachmann with you. I'd rather not have that Tea party nonsense going on in my own backyard.

  8. Too Funny!!!

Sarah Palin drawing 10k people, that is funny and sad at the same time. Anyone who thinks this golddigger is releveant is as stupid as she is. She needs to go to school and get a graduate degree--she can't do that, her GPA is not high enough to get in grad school! Stupid idiot!

"SkiDoc" says "America will be back come November."

What is it about duly-elected government that you don't get? A majority of Americans voted for President Obama and majorities in the House and Senate.

America didn't "go" anywhere; you just LOST!

And if you want America to "go back" to what we had under Bush and Cheney, you've got to be nuts!

Those two morons and their tried-and-failed economic, military and foreign policies took our country down the toilet!

And don't reguritate that line of BS about how they kept us "safe" – September 11, 2001 happened on THEIR WATCH.

Ditto on the housing market collapse, two unfunded wars, millions of American job lost, and a budget surplus turning into a huge deficit.

    Thanks – but no thanks!

Leftist hippies in the 60s thought they were a real movement for change against the reigning authority. They weren't. And neither are the tea party extremists on the right today. The silent, patriotic majority wants the President, as the representative of what is good about America, to succeed, for the good of all of us.

Wow. Wow is all I cant say to the fact that many on the left seem to HATE successful, good looking women on the right. While it's thier right to hate, even to make insulting, derogatory comments, they probobly should try to take the moral high ground and claim to be on the side of superior intellect when doing so. It just makes them look foolish and downright vicious. Disgusting.

This consistent hatefulness towards Palin and Bachmann is humorous. By the way I would put Bachmann against any Democrat in a debate. Palin maybe not so much but she kept up with the idiot VP Biden. But Biden had heinous grades in mediocre colleges so no one ever accused him of mental acuity. Funny all the libs who never even graduated from college find themselves intellectually superior to Bush who graduated from Yale and Harvard. Go figure that one out. Ditch diggers and day laborers that could run the country from their computer.

It's a sad commentary on the average intelligence of Americans if these two ignorant hate mongers can draw such large crowds. Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann have never done a single thing of value in their entire lives. If anything, their ignorant rantings have set us back. And for all those on this blog complaining about the "Obama socialist plan" (which it isn't, by the way), keep in mind that the countries with the highest standard of living, highest life expectancy, and highest quality of health care are basically socialist.

  24. cindy ex-republican SINCE MCCAIN PICKED PALIN

The people that make negative comments about Palin not being leadership material are in no way hateful, they are truthful, intelligent, common sense, America loving, peaceful, and very "right on". Those of you that write silly little comments about her being a grate leader should think how much hate she is stirring up now with being nothing. DO YOU WANT HER ANWERING THE RED PHONE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. These foreign leaders would laugh her out of the white house and I would fear for my family. For goodness sake people, open your eyes and see what she represents.

Hey @ Really. I am an independent.

Since you don't want to pay taxes and are against our current "socialist government," please don't drive on the roads paved by my tax dollars, please don't rely on the public safety system paid for with my tax dollars, don't stand behind the Military paid for by my tax dollars, don't send your kids to the public school paid for with my tax dollars.

The fallacy of your logic is that you are using services and infrastructure put into place by past generations.
