Fiorina launches first TV ad

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/04/08/art.fiorina0407.gi.jpg caption ="Carly Fiorina is out Thursday with her first television ad."](CNN) - Republican Carly Fiorina launched her first television advertisement Thursday in her bid to unseat California Sen. Barbara Boxer.

In the 30 second spot, Fiorina touts her rise from receptionist to CEO at Hewlett-Packard, a Fortune 20 company.

"Let's stop sending Washington more of our money," Fiorina says. "And, let's make sure they spend our money wisely and well."

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, which is responsible for getting Democrats elected to the Senate, released a statement in response to the ad that read: "If Carly Fiorina wants to talk about her tenure at Hewlett-Packard, we are more than happy to have that conversation, beginning with her elimination of 30,000 jobs and ending with a $42 million golden parachute.”

The ad, featuring gentle music and soft lighting, is a shift from a series of bizarre Web videos featuring farm animals that her campaign released earlier this year.

Fiorina was endorsed by Condoleezza Rice last month.

$42-million golden parachutes for the Repubs, unemployment for the rest. Next she'll be saying, "Ah shucks, let 'em eat cake."

Where was Carly when George W was spending billions each month on an unnecessary war? We didn't hear a peep from Ms Carly then.

She won't beat Barbara Boxer. No way!! Boxer is too smart and gets too much done in the Senate for California to lose her.

Carly was fired by Hewlett-Packard as they saw the bottom falling out during her tenure and from their she started a political campaign. She threw John McCain under the bus during his campaign and she was suppose to part of his campaign staff. It would be wise for California to let Carly alone, her agenda isn't in their best interest.

She didn't leave HP of her own volition – not really. If she can't run a company like HP, do we want her in the Senate? Plus, her down-sizing indicates a lack of compassion for her employees. Do we really want that lack of compassion when enacting legislation for all our citizens? I suspect she'd be a great senator – for the big corporations. Corporate welfare would tops on her agenda.

What was that last unemployment number resultant of the housing market crash? What was that golden parachute Franklin Raines got out of being CFO at Fannie Mae or was it Freddie Mac, hmmmmm, 90 million after it tanked wasn't it? Didn't he serve as Obama's campaign finance manager? Hmmmm, kind of makes you wonder doesn't it?

Another Air Headed Republican Bimbo heard from, they are coming out of the woodworks and not one has a brain amongst them, typical Repuglicans, just like the Republican Brain, they all sing in Unison, 'If I Only Had A Brain'.

This horrible woman tanked Hewlett Packard. She will not get a chance to do this to California. I have pledged $15 a month towards Senator Boxer's campaign against this corrupt woman and will pledge my time as well in the very near future. Boxer reigns.

I'm trying to understand when exactly it was that being a business owner or executive became something akin to evil in the minds of so many. If she received compensation, so what? If HP had to cut jobs during her tenure, again I say, so what? No business is exempt from bad times, and if someone works their way to a position which rewards them financially, good for them. Instead of being hateful, the rest of us should be focused on working our way up as well.

Oh, spare me! Carly Fiorina gets fired for doing a lousy job at HP, and she wants to be a Senator? I've seen her on TV News programs...not impressed with her at all! Watch out California! I love Barbara Boxer...a woman with common sense.

Oh yeah, Condo-sleeza Rice-patch - that's the best endorsement Fiorina could possibly offer....

... it paints her exactly for what she represents.
