Jindal to RNC staffers: Welcome to New Orleans – Behave!

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/04/09/art.jindal0409.gi.jpg caption ="Bobby Jindal was the first Republican speaker to broach the topic of the RNC’s recent disastrous decision to spend money at a sex-themed Hollywood nightclub."]New Orleans (CNN) - Though it's a hot topic among GOP insiders at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans, none of the event's speakers had uttered a word about the Republican National Committee's disastrous decision to spend money at a sex-themed Hollywood nightclub.

Until Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal finally broke the ice on Friday – albeit in a coy way.

Jindal took to the stage and welcomed conference-goers to New Orleans. He told them to "enjoy our great food, our great music, our great culture."

Then this: "A word of warning to RNC staffers: You may want to stay away from Bourbon Street," he said. "Just a word of advice."

The joke drew laughter and applause from the crowd.

Andy got almost every fact wrong. Dow was never 15,000 and actually had a net decline under Bush. More of the job losses from the current recession occured under Bush's watch. The minute Obama took office the trend changed the other way. The Dow is up about 35% under Obama. Bush was the biggest deficit spender in history, Reagan is second, Bush 41 is third, and among Presidents who completed their terms, Ford is fourth. Obama will outperform Bush in all major economic factors, except possibly the deficit – which is worrisome. But 80% of the national debt Obama inheritied was run up under GOP administrations.

C'mon, let us see what sick repressed perversions you bible-thumping "family-values" hypocrites are really capable of. Ask Dave Vitter for his list of "must-do" places to visit. And y'all Repugs should be housed in tents in the parts of New Orleans that suffered the worst of Katrina.

Stop being such a prig, Jindal, those RNC dollars will fit just as nicely in a NOLA stripper's cleavage and g-string as they did in L.A

Creepy Kenneth had to warn the republicons to not hang in bondage clubs or pick up gay hookers - their normal behavior. Too too too funny. "Now kids, we're supposed to be a party that loves family values, so stay away from the prostitutes and booze and drugs that you normally come to these conventions for....and remember, don't try to pick up a quicky in the airport bathroom on the way home either!"

We liberals do NOT go around "preaching" about OUR moral values being superior to everyone else.

If Greedy Old People just got s**t-faced and did not PREACH that you should NOT get s**t-faced, then there would no argument.

It is the hypocrisy we are pointing out not the fact that cons also have feet of clay.

But when you SAY one thing and DO another thing, as your goddess would say, "don't retreat, just reload".

    And we will.

Claiming hat the bondage club thing is not typical is a little hollow these days. Ensign nder indictment for covering up the mistress, craig, haggard, foley....newt himself was so pro-family that he had three of them. The lead inquisitor on the CLinton impeachment Hyde had an illigitmate kid, thrumond siring a child with a black servant.....need we go on? Teen pregnancies? Oh yes, party chairman limbaugh forcing the maid to get him thousand of oxies? bush having a gay prostitute posing as a journalist? Where do we stop??? Kreepy Kenneth was just reminding the gops that their normal behavior should get put on hold during the convention because journalists are paying a bit more attention these days.

From the strip clubs in Los Angeles, to the expensive resort in Hawaii, and now the RNC is going to New Orleans? Republicans have proven they have no self-control, no sensitivity to the donor money they waste on themselves, and case after case of adultery and corruption.

    What a sad, clueless Party.......

Will Sarah Palin, the rethugs and tea party crashers leave a donation to help rebuild New Orleans? I doubt it since Sarah Palin want all the money she can get.

Interesting comments today. The Republicans need to have a good time, poor people, since their whooping in 2006 & 2008! Funny isn't it that George W. Bush is not a key note speaker? Why? Are you GOPers worried that IF Bush is seen at the GOP event that America will remember ........

Two wars ....that Bush knew he couldn't pay for
An Economic disaster not seen since the Great Depression
2.8 millions jobs lost in 2008, alone
    Secret foreign prisons
    Torture of POW's
Lies about the reason to attack Iraq
Throwing the Constitutional Rights of Americans under-the-bus so that the NSA could listen in on everyone's phone conversations
And.......... Katrina....... when we found poor Bush, asleep at the wheel

I just cannot believe how many "compassionate conservatives" are posting hateful thoughts and blaming the VICTEMS of Hurricane Katrina.

The U.S. Gov was warned a full year before it happened that the levees would not hold in that strong of a hurricane. The report told them exactly what would happen and sure enough, the report was right on. Why was nothing done? Why weren't the people who lived there properly warned?
