In Eugene, Palin says she eats granola too

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/04/20/art.spalin08h.gi.jpg caption ="Palin addressed a Republican fundraiser in Eugene, Oregon Friday."](CNN) – Making light of the fact she was in one of America’s liberal bastions Friday night, Sarah Palin told attendees at an event in Eugene, Oregon she eats granola and organic food just like residents there do.

Speaking at the Lane County Republican's annual Lincoln Day Dinner, a major fundraising event for the organization, Palin told the crowd she’s more like people in Eugene than one might think.

“I eat granola. I eat a lot of organic food. I have to shoot and catch a lot of my organic food before I eat it,” the former Republican vice presidential nominee joked, according to the Oregonian.

Palin’s remarks also included the red meat jabs at Democrats that have become characteristic of her speeches this year, telling the crowd its OK for Republicans to be the “Party of No.”

"When the other party's wrong, we stiffen our spines," She told a crowd numbering 900, according to the Oregonian. "Why not be the party of not just no, but hell no.”

Sarah Palin is not very smart. Sarah Palin is a pathological liar (death panels). Sarah Palin is a loose cannon, an unstable personality that should not be trusted by the public with any responsibility. Let her be a Conservative media personality and fund raiser, but not an office holder.

"Palin the Pathetic" should eat crow! She's upset about the hacker, but she is guilty of the same thing when she used government computer websites for her personal gain. In the end she didn't gain much when she and John lost the election by almost 10 million votes. Wow, sarah, a real slap in the face. I wish it could have been in the mouth!

Keep feeding her bank account wing nuts. The America she is trying to sell you (where conservative whites made all the decisions and minorities knew their place) just doesn't exist anymore. She knows it but won't admit it while your hard earned money is flowing into her coffers.

Like her or not, Palin is a woman for conviction and internal strength that few have. Palin has the attention of America, and I suspect the world, and because of that has America engaged on a level of political discourse that is unprecedented.

I suppose another view would be the 'silent majority' is silent no more, and is fully engaged in deciding what the what the identity of America will be. Personally, I am tired of the left using the Constitutional freedoms to bring down America. Now we have illegals in Arizona on the streets protesting that they should be immune to law. And we let them. Try that in Mexico and see how far you get.

The more I listen to the Lady, the more I like what she has to say; the attacks on her make her stronger by the day. All this from someone who voted for Obama in 2008 – but never again.

This woman should have her own show on the Comedy Network. She is always good for a laugh or two.

Palin shoots and hunts organic food. Does she use a tree stand? Does she track down wheat and oats before she shoots them? Does she stalk corn? Where does she hunt and shoot organic food? Do you need a guide when hunting organic food. Where does she come up with this stuff?

I don't care what Sarah Palin eats. I don't care what she puts into her mouth. I only care about the bizarre incendiary things that come out of her mouth. If the media wants to do America a service they will shift their attention back to Paris Hilton. The two women are really very similar intellectually and Paris isn't inciting political violence.

The old "silent majority" thing was invented by Barry Goldwater to explain how he was going to win the presidency in 1964. He said there are voters out there who never vote because they never have a Conservative candidate to vote for. Conservatives like to imagine that most people are like them. Liberals like me wish more people were Liberal.

The truth is that most Americans are in the wishy-washy middle. They are against the presence of illegal aliens in our society, but they want to keep their cheap maid and cheap yard man. They don't want to pay more for produce so that farmers could hire Americans to pick crops. They don't want to pay more for houses so that contractors could pay Americans to build them. They don't want to carry an ID card. They don't want their neighbor's grandma to be deported. They don't want a tax increase so we can hire 500,000 extra Border Patrolmen to arrest and deport 15 million people. But, they are against illegal immigration.

Sarah Palin a factor in shaping the identity of the US??? She is a lot of things America is not! What an inane remark about eating granola too.
Does she not have a more articulate way to influence Oregonians? CNN, it is too bad you compete with other news sources for broadcasting Palin news. It is getting old and rancid.
