In Eugene, Palin says she eats granola too

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/04/20/art.spalin08h.gi.jpg caption ="Palin addressed a Republican fundraiser in Eugene, Oregon Friday."](CNN) – Making light of the fact she was in one of America’s liberal bastions Friday night, Sarah Palin told attendees at an event in Eugene, Oregon she eats granola and organic food just like residents there do.

Speaking at the Lane County Republican's annual Lincoln Day Dinner, a major fundraising event for the organization, Palin told the crowd she’s more like people in Eugene than one might think.

“I eat granola. I eat a lot of organic food. I have to shoot and catch a lot of my organic food before I eat it,” the former Republican vice presidential nominee joked, according to the Oregonian.

Palin’s remarks also included the red meat jabs at Democrats that have become characteristic of her speeches this year, telling the crowd its OK for Republicans to be the “Party of No.”

"When the other party's wrong, we stiffen our spines," She told a crowd numbering 900, according to the Oregonian. "Why not be the party of not just no, but hell no.”

She is nuts and flakes. So long as she's in the lime light for the Conservatives and Republicans, they're going to continue looking like a bunch of nuts.

  2. Thanks Sarah

That's right, the party of no – no ideas, no help, no compassion, no sense of fair play. Keep revealing more of your true self there, Sarah and cronies. The country needs to know your real make-up and agenda. More for the rich and powerful, no matter how you get it or what you have to do or sell to keep it.

By golly we’ve got a lot of deranged liberal comments from the venom spewing left. I just love how the simple mention of her name drives you folks completely insane. So much for the party of tolerance. You people are a joke…..

  4. Thanks Sarah

"It is scary that Palin is supposedly the smartest one of the teabaggers!!"

Reminds me of a funny comment a great-uncle shared, that as a boy he came home from school and proudly announced, "I'm the smartest one in the dumb row!" If the shoe fits, Sarah.......

  6. Randall in Torrance, CA - The Republican Way: No rules, no oversight, no government regulation = no economy

Sarah Palin does not have the mental capacity to understand an editorial Op Ed article, pump her own gas, know the difference between good government and bad government, let alone have an opinion about American politics and what constitutes being liberal and knowing when it's a bad idea to not have government regulation in foreign and domestic affairs. She would make a great Fourth Stooge with Moe, Larry and Curly. She is a complete imbecile and doesn't even realize it. Notice how the Republicans ALWAYS try and set up the most uneducated person they can find to spread their views and values around the country and the world? Republicans cannot find, nor want to find any PhD or graduate student that understands pluralism. That's because any educated person knows that everything the Republicans are for is against all science, rationalism, common sense, and falls far short of sane decision making in the U.S. Without these Fox Fake News and Tea Party morons, the Republicans would not be able to have a salesperson for their destructive, Anti-Democratic views. That's why Sarah Palin is their Numero Uno spokesperson – she is as dumb or dumber than Jarge Bush and very easy to wind up like the Energizer Bunny that goes around in circles with the same old message and the same old directionless or circular path saying and doing nothing but whatever the wealthy, non-taxpaying corporations want her to say. I'm surprised Oregon allowed someone that StOoPiD within their borders.

Palin needs to go away before its too late. It is her fault that Arizona is on the verge becoming a nazi state. Making people carry their 'papers'. What's next, affixing yellow stars and triangles and other symbols to their clothes?

Sarah Painintheass and the Tea Party (like any of these clowns drink tea) are an amusing but diversionary diversion (nice double d's) to the real issues facing your country. She will certainly help – not hinder – Obama in his re-election. Here in Canada, debate is infinitely more respectful amongst our politicians, which is why Canadians relate very well to your President and his views on improving the lot of all your residents ... Compare him to Sarah Putin? Please!!

I'm going out on a limb here in guessing that Palin hasn't yet managed to grasp the complexities of Foreign and Domestic policy issues.

P.S. The Corporate Masters want to know what is the deal with Palin's look of the stoned bug eyed lack of intelligence of a deer caught in the head lights look on her face?

Bravo Sarah!!! You are beautiful, brilliant and brave. Keep doing what you're doing because it sure makes liberals shake in their boots. When Sarah speaks, liberals listen. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You go girl!

Yeah, console your wounded pride with that lie, if it helps soothe your diaper rash from losing to Obama. lol! You are truly pathetic if you think we fear Palin, we HUNGER for the brainless twit to run in 2012, oh do we ever pray that she does. It will guarantee Obama a second term. True liberals tune her out, those who are DINOs do not. It matters not, we will re-elect Obama no matter what you fools on the right spew, bark, crow, etc. about.

Yes, but unlike many Eugene residents, SP lack the mental and cognitive skills to under stand the concept of 'organic'. You can't drill for it. The things that she lacks are tolerance, compassion, and far-sighted intelligence. Now, she just another too-rich-to-care conservative who fears change. Of course she fears change. Look how cushy being a closed-minded religious nut has gotten her!

It's funny how she uses religion when it's convenient for her, she's even fake in her honesty with religion, a true christian don't have to convince the world that she is saved and have the lord in there life, because people can see it if you are really real, SO STOP USING THE LORD FOR POLITICAL REASONS PALIN, AND YOUR STOP HELPING HER CNN.

  16. What Goes Around

Sarah Palin's schtick is nothing but a bunch of tag lines. She might as well be saying "What you talkin' about Willis?" for all her words reveal about her understanding of any issue. Why does anyone listen? Because it's easier and more entertaining to watch a reality TV version of politics than to sit through hours of CSPAN waiting for our actual elected leaders to say something suitable for a bumper sticker.

    Grow up, America.

  17. Palin Power

Sarah Palin will inevitably PWN Obambi out of office in 2012. She will turn the entire electoral map RED, including Washington, Oregon, California and Hawaii. This country needs the Palin Revolution, Palinomics and become the Palination. She will be America's greatest president of all times and her 8 years in office will see glory and prosperity never before seen. She will create larger surpluses than even Clinton and she will effectively cut taxes across the entire board. She will ensure that the economy will never ever collapse again and revitalize our job market such that nobody will be unemployed. President Palin will begin a forever long and unbroken cycle of conservative white women presidents.

Like her or not, Palin is a woman for conviction and internal strength that few have. Palin has the attention of America, and I suspect the world, and because of that has America engaged on a level of political discourse that is unprecedented.

I suppose another view would be the 'silent majority' is silent no more, and is fully engaged in deciding what the what the identity of America will be. Personally, I am tired of the left using the Constitutional freedoms to bring down America. Now we have illegals in Arizona on the streets protesting that they should be immune to law. And we let them. Try that in Mexico and see how far you get.

Me thinks you are truly confused. The silent majority is always the ones whose party is in power. The losing party constantly hollers and makes noise in an attempt to be noticed so that they can stay relevant. You claim to be tired of the left using Constitutional freedoms to bring down America as you claim, but it was okay for you when Bush threatened anyone who disagreed with him and when he took away civil liberties under false guise of the Patriot Act. You are one sad fool with blinders on if you can't see how much your statement made NO logical sense. If you want to take the illegals thing one step farther, Native Americans were here before your ancestors came along and killed them off to take their land. Let's stay in perspective here. You were NOT here first.

Way to go Sarah. Don't take anything else off these racist. I am sick of their calling us racist and you names when it's plain to see who the real racist are. If it's a fight they want then they've got it. IT'S HELL NO OBAMA WE DON'T WANT YOUR HEALTH BILL OR YOUR GIVING ILLEGALS FULL AMNESTY.

Palin makes the GOP look stupid, after being asked to speak on policy. No, is the answer given when Palin and the GOP don't read a bill, that was a proven fact with the health care reform and financial reform bills. Palin sunk John McCain's ship and she will do the same for the GOP.

She may eat it, but I'm willing to bet she can't spell it. The fact that honest, harding working people are willing to make this fool a multi-millionaire (buying her books, paying to hear her speak, and watching her one TV) is proof positive the P.T. Barnum was right when saying "nobody ever went broke under-estimating the ignorance of the American public.". Spend your money, make her rich (then at least she'll benefit from some of the governmental policies she now claims to back and understand). But in the end, I'll predict two things. First, she'll fade away as quickly as she came onto the scene ... and, she'll be like the other trailer trash lottery winners/pro athletes who earn a lot of money over night and don't know what to do with it ... and she'll be back broke working at the TV station in Wassila in about 5 years.
