(CNN) - Police arrested Illinois Rep. Luis Gutierrez at an immigration rally outside the White House on Saturday.
Gutierrez, a Democrat, was among a group of protesters arrested by police in front of the White House.
The protesters wore T-shirts that read, "ARREST ME NOT MY FAMILY" and "ARREST ME NOT MY FRIENDS."
well dude did ask for it...lol
the Arizona new phony law is about racist crap . thew state government can stop imagration problems by requiring every employer prove that they only hire legal citizens with correct documentation to actually be hired . hence the problem goes away . if you can't get a job with out proper paper work then you must leave the area and go back to the country you came from and apply for a legal work permite .. sounds pretty easy to me . so if any employer gets caught hiring a illegal person . not only are they fined but they can do some jail time for the crime .. now that will stop alot of problems .. hits the pocket book of the employer and it takes them right to jail do not pass go . đ
This radical nut that is against the security of the borders of the United States, but all for the lawbreakers who ILLEGALLY enter needs to be stripped of his title of Representative. He's hurting his state and the nation.
HaHaHaHa – Hope he spends the night in jail & has to serve 20 hrs. of community service at the border!
Nice Move for gutierrez, that proved that we have racist groups, and everybody are rasonable suspicius....we have to stop the hate, violence and racism....
In a time like this, I am proud that representatives from the the left side of the aisle take a stand against injustice. It seems like the white folks on the other side are hell bent on forcing their racist agenda down the throats of so many people here legally. It will be their demise. Thank you Rep. Gutierrez for taking a stand. Sincerely, Israel Valenzuela
If he is either convicted of this criminal behavior, or pleads guilty, he must be removed from Congress. Mr. Hairy Pelosi, as Speaker, must move against him TONIGHT to assure the American people that Mr. Guterrorist never sets foot on the floor of the House again.
It's disappointing to see an elected official breaking the law. I would prefer to see him guide the illegal immigrants put their papers in order and guide them through the immigration process. I would rather see an official encouraging constituents to abide and live by the law ,not leading them to civil disobedience or in breaking the laws of this great country. There is no need to reform immigration, there are already laws out there, there are rules and steps on how one can otbain legal status in this country. Just go through those processes, implement the law and we should all be fine.
thye where following orders from the shirt.
While the rest of the country debates the new law in Arizona allowing the demand for papers from anyone âsuspectedâ of being an illegal immigrant (donât get too dark of a tan), a jury in a small county in Idaho stood up for the right of every person (immigrant or not) to receive a fair trial in the U.S.
No officer of the court (judge, prosecutor, or the defense attorney himself) stood up and did their legal and ethical duty to stop a trial where the P.D. was obviously incapacitated. The jury did- refusing to convict based on the inadequate counsel of the defense. Apparently jurors had corrected mistatements by the defense attorney aloud in court and the prosecutor noted that the defense attorney âwas not fully aware of what was going onâ.
This was a case of an illegal immigrant charged with raping his 12 yr. old daughter. One has to assume that the negligence was pretty obvious for a jury to refuse to convict. So⌠bravo to the jurors!! Thank you for voting your concious and standing up for us all.
(refers to an article ran in the April 28th edition of the Long Valley Advocate, Cacade, Idaho)
We will arrest you Idiot, then we will arrest both your friends and your family.
Why does Rep. Gutierrez have a problem with enforcing the laws on immigration???? Illegal immigration is still illegal.
If they arrested him, They should charge him. If he broke the law, he pays the consequences.....
So will this Rep. be resigning his sworn position as a government official? How can you uphold the law if you cannot follow it? Idiot. Vote this bum out in November Illinois.
This is awesome 1960's style protesting here! I'm proud.
Hi, if u are here illegal u should get out,i need a passport to travel.
Criminal profiling should not be wasted on small things like immigration and crime on the streets. Crime in the suites of Wall Street is the real problem causing trouble to us all. Wall Street criminal profiling should require all law enforcement officers to review all papers, voice and text messages and emails of all white adult males who worked in skyscrapers, retire in Arizona and vote for Republicans. Yes, it is racial persecution of white males in Arizona but since they think that is how law enforcement works best they wonât mind being stopped and having top prove they are innocent, right?
Another loud mouth from Illinois. What a surprise
Hmmm.... didn't he take an oath to support the Constitution and laws? Boot him out along with the rest of the Illinois mafia. OOPS! That would include BOBAMA!
I support Arisona 150%, and I say that ALL other 49 states should ALSO enforce it immidiatelly!! Also, one thing that REALLY upsets me very very much is that this "protests" against this law or any law that "might" offend illegals, for that matter. Are usually accepted and tollerated, but "WE" the "LAW ABIDING CITIZENS. are not ever taken into consideration, either in speaking up against this darn demonstrations or allowing us to have our own demonstrations against this "law breakers". It seems that "we" the citizens have absolutely no right to say or demonstrate against this "criminals" that break the law by coming here illegally and then "DEMAND" rights. Its reallt NOT fair, that we cant speak our minds as well as these criminals "ALWAYS" get to do so!!
And he was arrested. Good radiance! I think he should be released without charge.
It is better to go to jail for a just cause than for an unjust cause or for a crime. Congressman Gutierrez should be commended for supporting the civil rights of all Americans. He is morally courageous. The Arizona immigration law is unconstitutional and violates the federal civil rights law and people's rights and it will be overturned by the federal courts.
This dork needs to back to uncivilized country.
What an idiot. He is more in tune with his race than his nation, which is exactly why this Republic is headed to oblivion.
Arrest and deport all of those illegal aliens including the supporters. Excellent police work.
Deport this guy. Send him back to Mexico.
