Menendez: Sestak has 'powerful message of change'
(CNN) - Sen. Robert Menendez, Chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, released the following statement Tuesday congratulating Rep. Joe Sestak on his primary victory over incumbent Sen. Arlen Specter.

“Congratulations to Joe Sestak on winning a hard-fought primary. Both Arlen Specter and Joe Sestak deserve credit for waging thoughtful, spirited campaigns. I have tremendous respect for Arlen, who has been a loyal member of the Democratic caucus. With his support, Democrats passed landmark health care reform, a jobs package, and of course the Economic Recovery Act, which saved the nation from an economic abyss.“Joe Sestak has a compelling life story, and a powerful message of change. He knows what is wrong with Washington, and if elected to the Senate will shake up how business is done in the Capitol.
“This November, Pennsylvania voters will face a choice between a Democrat who is focused on creating jobs and the needs of the middle class, and an extreme right-winger who made his profits trading derivatives on Wall Street. After working on Wall Street, Pat Toomey went to Congress where he racked up an extremist voting record that would make Rick Santorum look moderate. If elected, Pat Toomey would do even more to protect the big banks, Wall Street, the oil companies and the insurance companies – all at the expense of Pennsylvania’s middle class.”

Specter was a failed Republican, now he is a failed Democrat. Self serving, no loyalty, good riddance.
I imagine Menendez was choking on words when he commented about how great a Democrat Spector is. Yes, sure, for all of 10 minutes. Congratulations to Mr. Sestak and to all the PA citizens who support someone who actually belongs to his party.
Arlen Specter is a classic example of what is wrong with Washington and with American politics and the people elected Joe Sestak to fix the problems. Joe Sestak ran a very smart and effective campaign by telling people the truth about Arlen Specter and associating him with George W. Bush and his failed policies. President Obama and the Democrats should get right with Joe Sestak and support his candidacy against Pat Toomy, a self serving Republican politician who is in the back pockets of Wall Street.
Vote no to the party of no in November!
