Congress and the Democrats specifically own responsibility for the financial crises and refuse to accept blame and want nothing but to take over another sector of our economy. There were protections in place that kept banks from taking part in risky practices that the Clinton administration stopped.

Why not let Frank and Dodd do it, after they get through with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? They seem to be experts at management of money matters.
