Obama to give Boxer a big bucks boost, again

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption ="President Obama will travel to California Tuesday to headline three fundraisers for Sen. Barbara Boxer."]Washington (CNN) - President Obama heads west Tuesday afternoon to lend Sen. Barbara Boxer a hand. It's the president's second trip to California in a month to help the fellow Democrat raise campaign cash for her re-election battle.

Obama will headline three fundraisers in San Francisco for Boxer and for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. The events are scheduled to be held at the Fairmont Hotel, in the city's affluent Nob Hill district, and at the home of Ann and Gordon Getty, wealthy philanthropists who head their family's billion dollar trust.

Last month the president was the main attraction at two fundraisers in Los Angeles for the three-term senator and for the Democratic National Committee. A Democratic source confirmed to CNN that those two events raised at least $3 million in campaign cash.

Boxer faces what's expected to be a tough bid this year for a fourth term in office. A poll released last Friday by the Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) indicates that 50-percent of Golden state voters approve of the job Boxer is doing as senator, with 38-percent saying they disapprove.

In the November election, Boxer will face-off against the winner of the June 8 Republican senate primary.

According to the PPIC survey, Boxer leads former Rep. Tom Campbell by six points, former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina by nine points, and state assemblyman Chuck Devore, a favorite of the Tea Party movement by 11 points, in possible general election showdowns.

Good luck Republicans with your demon sheep candidates or who's more neo-confederate than the other sheep. Boxer is a million times better than the demon-sheep Republicans.

Obama will do more harm than good to Boxer's campaign. But then that is a good thing. Hope he does lots of harm so that he gets impeached before he totally destroys America.

Barbara Boxer is honest, smart, caring and a senator that I can always count on to do the right thing. The republicans these days are absolutely insane and I wouldn't turn my back on any of them. The ads for the republicans are pretty funny. They attack each other on "who is more liberal" without apparently realizing that most Californians are not tea bagger morons, but most of us vote for progressive, intelligent people! Go Barbara! We need you.

President Obama has already raised $3 million in California, the Democrats have more money than the Republicans and Fiorina got the kiss of death from Palin.

Boxer is going to have a really hard time of it in November. A distinguished and accomplished senator against a has-been, a fired CEO who ran her company into the ground or a guy so far to the right that he makes Newt Gingrich look like Ted Kennedy.

Another term for Barbara is what California needs and wants.

I'm an independent conservative voter who would like to see Boxer gone, however I will not delude myself into thinking Obama's support will hurt her in California (unlike his support for others in most other states). California voters live in a world by themselves, a world of suspended reality. They want their government to spend too much, but they don't want to have to pay for it, and then they get mad when their state goes bankrupt. Oh yeah, and they LOVE them some Obama. He's their kind of politician. California may be the one state left where Obama's support actually helps a candidate, so I try to stay realistic while still hoping for the best...a Senate without Boxer.

    Let's see...

    1. No one likes incumbents these days, especially long-term incumbents. Boxer has been in the Senate for almost two decades. Strike one.

    2. Being associated with Obama has become political poison. Strike two.

    3. Boxer is from a state the size of a small country, the economy of which is collapsing as fast or faster than that of Greece and for the same reason: creeping socialism. Strike three.

Don't bother, Senator Boxer. Obama can't help you. Just retire in dignity to your Socialist Republic of California and pass on your job to someone whose brain hasn't yet ossified and who might be open to the idea that stealing from "the rich" to give to "the poor" works only until all "the rich" give up in disgust and leave–exactly what's happening in California.

California is done with Barbara Boxer. She does not represent us or our concerns. All the money the President can raise for her does not change that.

What a wonderful social experiment California has been... Leading the way for America in social entitlements, legalized dope, and sanctuary for illegal immigrants. The State with the highest earned income per capita in America and the State with the largest budget deficit, most governmental regulatory requirements and some of the highest tax rates in the Nation.

My vote is to give it back to the Mexicans on the condition that they take Hollywood, Obama, Pelosi, Reid and Boxer.

    2012-The rebirth of America!
