Obama to give Boxer a big bucks boost, again

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption ="President Obama will travel to California Tuesday to headline three fundraisers for Sen. Barbara Boxer."]Washington (CNN) - President Obama heads west Tuesday afternoon to lend Sen. Barbara Boxer a hand. It's the president's second trip to California in a month to help the fellow Democrat raise campaign cash for her re-election battle.

Obama will headline three fundraisers in San Francisco for Boxer and for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. The events are scheduled to be held at the Fairmont Hotel, in the city's affluent Nob Hill district, and at the home of Ann and Gordon Getty, wealthy philanthropists who head their family's billion dollar trust.

Last month the president was the main attraction at two fundraisers in Los Angeles for the three-term senator and for the Democratic National Committee. A Democratic source confirmed to CNN that those two events raised at least $3 million in campaign cash.

Boxer faces what's expected to be a tough bid this year for a fourth term in office. A poll released last Friday by the Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) indicates that 50-percent of Golden state voters approve of the job Boxer is doing as senator, with 38-percent saying they disapprove.

In the November election, Boxer will face-off against the winner of the June 8 Republican senate primary.

According to the PPIC survey, Boxer leads former Rep. Tom Campbell by six points, former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina by nine points, and state assemblyman Chuck Devore, a favorite of the Tea Party movement by 11 points, in possible general election showdowns.

Caludia, Houston, TX – "President Obama has already raised $3 million in California"

Don't you get it? Obama's already 0 for 4. Who's the real kiss of death here?

Hopefully Boxer will NOT get reelected–it is time for new blood in ca politics. She is another arrogant piece of work.

I love Pam's comment. Barbara is smart, and caring, and compassionate, and then you name call republicans. Well, I'm convinced, I mean if her supporters are this articulate and expressive then she must be aces! BTW, maybe you should ask Europe how all that "Progressive" thinking is working. Progressive = Socialist, folks. Don't forget.

Instead of going to fundraisers why isn't he doing something about much more pressing the oil spill in the ecomony......the list could go on and on.. but I guess he has his priorities and it certainly isn't what is best for the country....just get all the same ole ones who kiss butt reelected...right????...

"Victim of GOP Taliban" seems to have sheep on his mind too often. No wonder that the Democrats are falling to pieces.

GO BARBARA! As a Californian, I'm going to do what I can to make sure she's elected again. I've seen the Fiorini ad's and just looking at her scares me, let alone the thought of her as our senator.

Plus I'm going to love seeing the egg on Palin's face when another one of her endorsements loses.

I get a kick out of watching the Republican ads against each other claiming the other is more liberal than they are. They're giving Brown so much to work with.

Wow, gotta love the ignorant comments. It seems many of you are trying to peg Meg as a loser CEO. In reality, you either (1) never lived in California, or (2) don't read many business newspapers or magazines. It is a well known fact that Meg is wildly respected as a top CEO and she used to sit on many Boards until last year when she announced her candidacy. I can see why they call liberals Libertards. And you wonder what is eroding the Democratic Party? It is people who speak before they think. That goes for the Tea Party as well.

Boxer is one of truest patriots in the federal government. I pray she gets re-elected and continues to oppose the fake-American republicans and teabaggers.

She will need the money to buy votes – no one wants her in office!

Pam – "Barbara Boxer is honest, smart, caring and a senator that I can always count on to do the right thing."

Huh? Who are you trying to kid? She's the most arrogant, obnoxious Senator there is. If you people had any brains (not likely based on past history) you'd send her Feinstein, and that other idiot Pelosi packing. Otherwise, you deserve everything you get.

"A distinguished and accomplished senator against a has-been, a fired CEO who ran her company into the ground "

Do Libs ever bother to do any research or think on their own before they spew their rhetoric? HP became the dominant server manufacturer when they bought Compaq. Libs are so predictable......

The voters in CA need to throw every incumbent out – regardless of the party!!!!!!! The state is bankrupt although GOP leadership said they could do a better job at governing. Not all movie stars can play the role of an elected official.

Boxer is a racist . The president of the US Black Chamber of Commerce Harry C. Alford called her out on video and its evident how racist she is. Like ALL DEMOCRATS, she is a racist who doesnt deserver re-election and uses minorities to fullfill her own radical adgenda.

Dont believe me, google " boxer and racist " and see for youselves!

Wake up people of San Francisco! Don't send Boxer back to Washington - she's helping Obama turn our country into a socialist nightmare.

When the progressives are done with their agenda, the only people left with money will be the uber rich and the political elites. Everybody else will be scrapping for food - we'll be one big peasant class.

November 2010 is our only hope to stop them: vote American, vote Republican!

Way to funny that MOST of you wil not even be casting any votes in Ca. We don't want the corporatista fiorona that hates American workers and has stated so publicly. She is a loser that was fired for running HP into the ground, why make her a senator?

I have closely watched B. Boxers voting record and am quite happy with her. My family will vote for her because she has worked hard for the Average Californian and not kissed the backside of all those corporations. She is I feel one of the more honest ones in D.C..

  25. Take America Back

This copied report as reported in USA Today, spell out clearly why Obama and his "Left-Wing Liberal Yes Men/Women" MUST and WILL go........"Paychecks from private business shrank to their smallest share of personal income in U.S. history during the first quarter of this year.. ...At the same time, government-provided benefits — from Social Security, unemployment insurance, food stamps and other programs — rose to a record high during the first three months of 2010.
So, how's that hope and change working??? It is plain and simply REDISTRIBUTING the wealth while bringing our great nation to a low of which she does not deserve! The American public will not stand for it! If this continues we will become a mirrored image of Greece.
