Gibbs: President Obama was 'angry' after seeing McChrystal article
(CNN) - President Barack Obama was "angry" after seeing the upcoming controversial magazine article about Gen. Stanley McChrystal, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said Tuesday. "I gave him the article last night," Gibbs said at the daily White House news briefing. "He was angry."
Earlier, Gibbs described the "magnitude and graveness" of mistakes by McChrystal in the article as "profound."

Sounds like Obama is lining up to fire him. Must not have adored him enough.
I agree what McChrystal did was wrong by military code of conduct but what Obama is doing to our Nation trumps McChrystal's actions ten fold. It is obvious our military leaders do not respect our Commander in Chief, how could they, he stands in opposition to everything career military professionals live by. Obama is a novice at waging war, clueless. If our Leader continues to recreate in public, spend OUR tax dollars throwing gayla events and jets around campaigning while millions of people are out of work, our borders are being over run, the worst environmental disaster in our history spews daily and our young men in Afghanistan die daily, then I would say that he is a clueless dolt as to the pain and suffering of our Nations people and doesn't deserve respect. With that said, do you think I give a rats patootie if General McChrystal hurt his feelings by calling a dupe a dupe?
Finally, the guy reads something. Or did he have it read to him?
How truly sad it is reading the comments coming from the right expressing their disdain for the President of the United States. . .
Little wimp . . . Clueless . . . Unable to lead . . .
Speaks volumes to the mental capacity of those who represent what was once a very powerful political party.
So far, Mr. Obama has been able to withstand the insults. Make no mistake, at this time - facing the overwhelming crises we as a nation face, both at home and abroad - the very survival of our country depends upon his calm intelligence.

The most "profound" mistakes were made by all of the folks that voted for Obama!!! The budget director is leaving, key Dems are losing seats and primaries and General McChrystal is speaking out against the idiots in Washington – makes one wonder if the shine has worn off this administration!!!

Following General McChrystal's comments on the Obama Administration handling of the war in Afghanistan, I have to say that I am very dissapointed in the General's comments. A US General must be a true loyal American. If there is any policy difference, he needs to be able to convince the President. It is very unpatriotic for a US General heading the war in Afghanistan to diss and undermine not Pres. Obama, but the Office of the Presidency of the The United States. Nobody cares about his personal feelings, because that's not the reason he got the job. Why would the commander in chief be impressed by generals under him? Maybe because they're a bunch of guys who can't get nothing done and always blaming it on the President and his policies, but they're running the fight, and the President does consult with them. The military is not a political body and does not need any PR rock star style.
Give it a rest – the man spoke the truth!!! Obama cannot accept the truth from ANYONE! Gibbs, you are a wimp!
Is it me or is anyone else getting the sense that Obama can't take any kind of criticism? From Fox News to BP to General Mc. Obama keeps getting "angry". I'm surprised Obama hasn't tried to censor the media yet.
The under current of anger towards the President on the part of older white men is almost unbelievable. You would think African Americans enslaved them instead of the other way around... McChrystal needs to go...

All General McChrystal did was speak what 98% of the military thinks -- Afghanistan is a disaster and has turned into Mr Obama's Vietnam. We are hamstringing our military just like we did in Vietnam. We are protecting corrupt politicians and guarding the world's heroin supply.

The only reason Obama wants to speak to the General is to illicit/bribe/coerce some concession from himo so Obama can continue his failed policieis - I hope ti General resigns and says NOTHING
Obama should replace McCrystal. We are in the middle of a war and the Military General in charge in Afganistan makes such childish and imature remarks about the President and Vice-President in a magazine.
Look, if he had real issues with the Obama administration, there is a proper place to voice those concerns directly to the President. McCrystal should be gotten rid of.
What McChrystal has done here is a supreme act of insubordination and since it is a direct insult of the Commander in chief he should be relieved of duty, court matialed for his offense and the results should be a complete and total demotion to Lietenant and then he should be dishonorably discharged from the military with no pension or any other benefits provided to him.
I don't care if you don't agree with the current President but General McChrytal, you are showing yourself to be a total and complete idiot!!

The President should be angry and fire McChrystal! If the top of your chain is undermining you they have to go.
He is military, I am military, you don't do what he did...for any reason plain and simple. In the field during war time it is considered treason. He should be fired.
