Mullen had physical reaction to McChrystal article

(CNN) - Joint Chiefs Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen said Thursday that he was nearly "physically sick" when he read the story about Gen. Stanley McChrystal and McChrystal's staff in Rolling Stone. Mullen also said he was "stunned."

He said the story, in its totality, amounted to an unacceptable challenge to civilian authority.

He told the truth, even though he was an obama supporter and a liberal.

I really like Admiral Mullen. I'm glad he is Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. We need people like him protecting our Country and our Government.

Thank you Adm. Mullen. Speaking as a retired Army MSG everyone in the military should be physically sick about this story. Obama did the right thing in dumping this guy. Personally, I would have fired him in Afganistan and told him to find his own way home.

Adm. Mullen understands the Chain of Command, unlike some of you that posted ignorant comments yesterday.

Kinda reminds me of the Germans defense in WORLD WAR 2,I was just following orders.Certainlly Mullins can come up with a better defense than blindly following civilian authority. It's this kind of thinking that gave us Viet Nam where the politicans listen to themselves and ignored what the public wishes. The military has to follow the chain of command.McCrystal did this on purpose because he was going to be blamed for a failed policy, one that is being passed to Petraeus. It was not that long ago that people were complaining about BE-TRAY-US And now we are being told he is the one person that can lead us out of this mess.We need to bring our soldiers home now, this is not the good war as Obama has described it.

Am I the only one that finds the man's 4 hour sleep routine and one meal a day eating habit a possible cause for his actions?
Doctors have always said that wihtout the proprer nutrician and sllep we do not function properly. That being the case, how can this man, withthe responsibilities he had, be anything but ineffective?

( WHY CAN'T WE JUST LET THEM FIGHT THERE OWN BATTLES ) Afghanistan and Iraq will be looked back upon in twenty years as another big giant joke, just like Vietnam turned out to be, a total disgrace. Let the Arabs and the Jews fight it out and who ever comes out on top, we Americans will be there to be there new best friends. Those mutts over there in the Middle East have been feuding and killing each other for centuries. We should have learned a good lesson from the Soviet’s that have just come away from Afghanistan after fighting there for twenty years. They came away running like a pack of scalded dogs with there balls cut off. We Americans have most certainly lost a lot of brain cells, can’t think straight, no ability for rational simplistic thought anymore, it’s truly sad. Einstein Mastermind. Huntington Beach, Ca.
