Congress is controlled by Democrats, so why bypass? Is this appointment so bad that even Democrats don't want him? It really makes you wonder. Maybe it will be the job of Medicare and Medicaid to reach out to the Muslim community, as NASA is now supposed to? This administration is in shambles.

One sentence, CNN. You are doing your job for the administration. Non-reporting. You have good reason to keep this appointment quiet.
Hopefully, the American people will do a simple search for this man's writings and see his "credentials" that landed this position for him with the Obama administration.

It is bad enough the Republican politicians are so focused on our Presidents failing they won't do their job, they just vote "no" on everything without even caring whether the bill/appointment would serve the public well. The Republicans hold up nominations of department heads for political theatrics which is dangerously irresponsible.

So the reality is that we have a group of politicians who care nothing for their country our the citizens of our country, all they care about is for their political party. We all know if this were to happen under a Republican President they would label the opposing party traitors and cowards.

I hope all you Democrats are happy.....

Dr. Death is now in play.
This guy is the champion of telling old people "you have had a good life and now it is time to die" NO MORE medicine...no more surgery..nope you have lived your life...time to die old man.

Yes, take responsibility...You all said that Sarah Palin lied about death panels....well here is number 1 seat on the death panel....Dr. Donald Berwick..

He is the advocate. He will tell you whether it is worth saving someone or not. He will stunt the growth of drug companies trying to develope new drugs. He will stunt the growth of doctors and medicine.

Welcome to social medicine and killing off of the old weak and helpless. The future is now.

    Great JOB DEMS.

Any surprise in this?.Every underhanded thing that this administration can get away with is in progress. Why was it not reported about the increase in pay for Congress while the retires get nothing except a cut? Or is that an internet lie?

They wont even have a Senate committe review because they dont want all of his opinions aired out to the public.

Even some of the Democrat Senators are against this guy.

Barack is just a simple socialist and better than that he is a benelovent dictator. He feels all of the idiots of America cant make their own decisions, so he will make them for you.

Good job, Barack was a great choice. Everyone should be ashamed and shocked that they freely elected this guy.

An absolutely slimy, corrupt move by the administration like all of the other elements relating to Obozo care. There is some real transparency lacking when this stealth tax increase and freedom theft by Obama is hidden by an inept, corrupt, union toady administration. Wouldn't it been nice if he would have waived or rescinded the law that prevented foreign countries from helping with the oil leak (to protect the maritime union) as sneakily and stealthily as he did this?

Good for him. I find it hilarious that the GOP is wondering why he would do such a thing. They've opposed and obstructed several nominees for no apparent reason. It's bad politics on the GOP side of things. The president wants to cut useless spending in medicare and medicaid, make it more efficient and cost effective. Yet, the GOP and the Tea party scream about big government to much spending. Then the oppose everything that the president wants to do to cut spending.

Good move, good choice. Just because the republicans don't want to do their jobs and stall doesn't mean the government needs to come to a halt. With HCR this position is critical, enough with the games already.

How dare he. Bush never did that. He should be worried about the "War of his chosing" and not trying to ram his socialist agenda down our throats even if our conservative heroes refuse to participate in the running of god's country.

Surprise, surprise! The dictator is at it again!! Pretty soon we won't have anybody making decisions that anyone but obummer had any input on. Now, if he could just figure out a way to get rid of congress and the supreme court....
