(CNN) – In what has the familiar feel of a classic campaign commercial, Sarah Palin's political action committee is out with its first web video Thursday that is heavily laden with the former Alaska governor's appearances at political events and Tea Party rallies over the past year.
The nearly two-minute video, called "Mama Grizzlies," features a portion of a speech Palin gave before the Susan B. Anthony List in May, during which she told the anti-abortion rights women's group, "It seems like it's kind of a mom awakening in the last year and a half where women are rising up and saying, 'No, we've had enough already.'"
"This year will be remembered as a year when common sense conservative women get things done for our country," Palin is also heard saying. "All across this country, women are standing up and speaking out for common sense solutions."
The video also celebrates the former Alaska governor as well as her female supporters, splicing together several images of Palin delivering speeches before cheering crowds, sitting for television interviews, and shaking enthusiastic supporters' hands – all amidst inspirational music.
"We're gonna do something about this. We're going to turn this thing around," Palin tells a roaring crowd as she sounds familiar themes of a stump speech. "We're going to get our country back on the right track, no matter what it takes, to respect the will of the people. Look out, Washington, cause there's a whole stampede of elephants crossing the line, and the E.T.A. stampeding through is November 2, 2010."
"Lot of women coming together," Palin says as the video comes to a close.
Palin posted the new video on her Facebook page early Thursday morning, telling supporters to "Enjoy the video and please support commonsense conservative candidates who will work with you and for you to take back our country!"
The former Republican vice presidential nominee has remained firmly in the national spotlight since resigning her post as governor one year ago, thanks to television appearances, a national book tour, speaking engagements, and social media outlets.
Update 3:30 p.m. ET: Sarah Palin released a statement to CNN about her new web video.
"Sending my own message, minus the media filter, is a valuable way to remind voters that they have great choices in these upcoming mid-term elections. The tools I'll use, like this energetic video that showcases commonsense Constitutional conservative women, will highlight a significant movement in our nation as we advance ever closer to what will be historic 2010 elections," Palin said.
who is a common sense conservative women – you sure aren't. You're a common idiot
Sarah, please, please run! Its the best thing you can do for you country, your party and your beliefs.
And as someone who disagrees with everything are, have been, or could ever be, the absolute best thing you could do for me!
I believe her message is beginning to get a bit thin. All retoric and no substance. I have yet to hear her make a definate stand on anything other than GOP talking points and moose hunting.
Please let her win the Republican nomination in 2012....please.
It passeth understanding. For Ms. Palin to think she has a chance at POTUS does not just boggle the mind of thinking people, it demonstrates yet again her own unbelievable lack of brain power.
Oh well, bring her on. The least she will do for her nation is split off some of the stupider votes from the Republican Party's nominee.
If anyone really had any common sense–including CNN–they'd stop paying attention to this pathetic silly twit. She is the intellectual equivalent of the oil gushing in the gulf.
"Common sense"? From Sarah (See Russia from my Backyard) Palin? Surely this is being done by someone with an exquisite sense of irony.
ewwww...take back America? From whom? And give it to a quitter, liar and bad parent? Sheeesh!
What a waste of film!
Palin as president? Just point the country towards the ground and hit the button marked GO.
The gift that keeps on giving......Sarah you are a g#dsend to the Democratic Party. Keep it up.
How long is 15 minutes?? Of course it would take Sarah and the GOP (sounds like a 70's cartoon band) to restructure time itself. Getting America on the right track hunh? And how would you do this Ms. Palin? Have you ever said ANYTHING substantial or done ANYTHING for the benefit of America? Since you nor the GOP can tell time ... YOUR TIME IS UP! We don't need a "leader" who quits at the drop of a hat for personal financial gain. We don't need a spokesperson that insists that this great country is so far off track that only she and the GOP can fix it. We NEED leaders that take into consideration the whole of America not just the side they represent or what may seem popular at the moment. Levi apologized for his lies ... you and the GOP should follow his example? Funny how karma works.
Help us, O Lord!
Deliver us from evil.
She is so not relevant! She didn't even have enough common sense to keep her own daughter out of Levi's bed! She didn't even have enough common sense to finish her commitment to the people of Alaska. Why does CNN even cover any story about this person?
The Gulf is full of oil and neocon puppet Palin is full of SNAKE oil.....
Can't wait to read the hate spewing from the left.
They are so closed minded. For example it wasn't the fact that Obama appointed someone to head Medicare, it was that he appointed a person who he knew would never be approved because of his ideas on healthcare and healthcare rationing. But all the left sees is that Bush did it.
Please run Sarah!!!
Signed;
Happy Democrat
Pleas say it isn't so....
Go for it Sarah. You may not be the brightest, or the most well read, or popular, however you are so much better than the idiot we now have.
Silly Sarah, "your country" was never taken from you. An election took place and your ticket didn't win. No country was lost, no way of life threatened – just a change in direction towards a better tomorrow. Instead of threatening to "overthrow" the government maybe you should use your "powers" for good, instead of mischief. Find a to work with us non-conservative common sense folks.
She has been looking at the pictures in Wonder Woman comic books and trying to imply "sisterhood is stronger than anything" poor, poor, poor sister Sarah, your pep rally-like speeches work for the ding-a-ling supporters that are very gullible with not much education or don't read very Ricky Bobby and Joe Dirt...
Palin should have said, "All across this country, OTHER women are standing up and speaking out about common sense solutions." She flatters herself when she says that she has offered a single solution, common sensical or not. All she is doing to marketing herself like a loaf of bread or frozen peas. Disgusting that so many people actually think this person is worth listening to, much less voting for.
Sara Palin quit only half way through her Governorship of Alaska that she was elected to by the people of Alaska. That by itself trumps everything else that is Sara Palin, period. How can anyone who calls themselves a true American stand behind a person who doesn’t even half fulfill their duty that they were sworn in to do? Truly un-American….
Sarah Palin and common sense. Oh. My. God.
Go away, please.
