Business leaders: Obama policies 'job-destroying'

New York (CNNMoney.com) - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce slammed President Obama's economic policies Wednesday, saying administration officials "took their eyes off the ball" and "neglected" to focus on job creation.

A letter posted to the business group's site and a summit with 500 business leaders were the latest moves in an ongoing battle between big business and the Obama administration.

The two are at odds over the best way to keep the recovery from slipping into a double-dip recession. The Chamber believes tax cuts are key to job creation. The Obama administration, however, has focused on stimulus and spending to create jobs.

The Chamber said in its letter that the administration "vilified industries while embarking on an ill-advised course of government expansion, major tax increases, massive deficits and job-destroying regulations."

Obama's policy is job destroying, than what was that for last eight years which wiped out jobs and economy?
You Republican business people stop exploiting employed workers, and start hiring unemployed who is going to buy your products.
America make note of it, this is big conspiracy by republican of tanking economy, who has closed door meeting with wall street and corporate executives.

Businesses are finding out that paying all those high fees to be a member of the Chmber of Commerce is not such a good deal. The Chamber of Commerce is harping on this because they are losing membership fees. They need to blame the good folks on Wall Street for this mess. How many companies were affected by the Wall Street meltdown?

"vilified industries while embarking on an ill-advised course of government expansion, major tax increases, massive deficits and job-destroying regulations."

Well some of these industries were villains, plain and simple. Many in the financial markets were in fact out and out crooks.

And how many jobs are being destroyed by the lack of regulations in the oil industry.

And last but not least the tax increase that Republicans are most adamant about stopping is on people who make more than $250K – people in business who are doing just fine thank you.

So riddle me that Mr. Business man.

Where were these geniuses during the Bush "lite" years? Like somebody really thinks their views merit consideration as being from a credible source. Apparently your group's promotion of sending our jobs offshore to China has now resulted in diminished contributions to your organization. Based on recently released data it hasn't slowed down your contributions to the Bush "lite" hangers on hoping to re-enact his administration's criminal mis-handling of our country's affairs..

NOW they are noticing, and complaining. We've been railing against this anti-business pogrom since the beginning. And it still hasn't done any good besides lining the pockets of the Progressives.........

And we all know the Republican Party is in the back pocket of the Chamber of Commerce, who wouldn't know how to create a job if they had a book on the subject. If tax cuts worked so very well, we wouldn't be in this mess!

So since we are a COUNTRY ...hopefully United...What are the problem finders' solution ?? Tax cuts ??? From what ??? It would seem that a Tax cut works in a good economy...sort of confused how it benefits an econmy that is is not growing or generating new jobs that would increase spending. FACT IS THERE ARE "TRUELY" NO ALTERNATIVES. Other than hiring people..that may make for some tax relief for employers. We Americans allowed ourselves to get into this mess over the past 15 years and we have to pay our personal debt off !! The government did not tell us to run our credits cards up, nor borrow equity beyond the value of our homes, or live a life style that was 30% beyond our earnings. We did that . Now we expect the government to fix it....sort late to demand help. Plus we complain that the government is bein socialiatic ! CERTAINLY CUTTING TAXES is not going to fix ANYTHING...accept make it more difficult to pay off National Debt. So that would seem that it would make things worse!!

The Chamber needs to shut up and just tell it's members to start hiring people again. Enough of the BS from this "organization". It's a shill for major corporations that are using the bad economy as an excuse to continue outsourcing more jobs overseas. Companies are still hiring just not American's!!!!

Mark this a a BULLSEYE shot! I'm sure the Lame Street Media will ignore it and not report it. You can't burst the leftist delusional trance! Yes, we must follow "The One"... ignore that cliff in front of you.... just keep marching and chanting "Yes, we can" as you get a feeling of soaring. Make sure you don't open your eyes before hitting the ground.

Is the US chamber of commerce full of rethugs? It's very hard for anyone to do anything when you are constantly being set up with bumps in the road and filibusters!
If the Administration wanting tax cuts then you would say that it should be stimulus and spending.

Obama has destroyed 3,000,000 jobs since he took office. It is the only thing he has done successfully. By the time he is booted out in 2012, about 8,000,000 jobs will have been destroyed.

Change only fools still believe in.

It has always been hard for small business, even under Republican administrations. In particular, reporting requirements for small businesses should be eased from monthly to quarterly and from quarterly to semi-annually or annually, and penalties for late filing, when there's a reasonable explanation, should be waived.

The Obama administration would do well to have a summit so that owners and employees could express their complaints and offer solutions. Small businesses need streamlining, not the wild west.

These people are so greedy. The fact is that Big Business' profits have been up 65 percent since President Obama took over. But is that good enough for them? No! They continue to hoard their money by not hiring people and overworking the employees that they do have and now they have the audacity to ask for more tax cuts. These people are bleeping unbelievable.

Obama's economic policies are a joke.
A stimulas bill was the right thing to do the problem is Obama's stimulas had more to do with advancing a social agenda than stimulating the economy that is why it failed.
Obama held a jobs summit and did invite the chamber of commerce.
Obama is prounion. Unions destroy jobs.
Obama is protrial lawyer. Trial lawyers help to destroy the economy by sucking out its life blood.
Borrowing money from China to expand the bloated federal workforce hurts more than helps the economy.
Obama is proillegal. The illegals steal jobs which hurts the economy and costs taxpayers 113 billion a year. Obama doesn't care if illegals hurt the economy since he views them as undocumented voters for 2012.
Obama said we can't afford our current entitlement programs so he created a new entitlement program and mislebled it reform. It will cost us more not less. See what it costs when the illegals get it.
Obama demonizes big business who does he think creates jobs.
    Obama is destroying our country.

They are just trying to get Obama not to sign the Wall Street Financial Reform Act.
Mr Obama you better sign it or I'll never vote for you again. Wall Street needs to pay for destroying the U.S economy.

Is this supposed to be surprising? The Obama administration has villified and demonized just about every segment of American business. According to his administration the only group that they support is the job killing unions.
