Maine residents celebrate Obama visit

Bar Harbor, Maine (CNN) - President Obama's trip to Maine this weekend may have brought out a few critics who think he should instead be in the Gulf Coast, but some local residents are celebrating the first family's visit to the area.

Local artist Russell D'Alessio is giving away two posters that commemorate the Obama's trip to the state affectionately known as Vacationland. Instead of selling the posters in his downtown art gallery, the artist is asking for a donation to benefit the birds affected by the oil spill.

One print is dedicated to President Obama, welcoming him to Bar Harbor and depicts a harbor scene. The second print is addressed to President and Mrs. Obama with the words: Thank You.

The posters can be seen in various store fronts in downtown Bar Harbor.

Maybe the Obama Family should go to NEVERLAND RANCH.

It seems the NAACP wants to turn it into a historic site, national museum, or attraction.

Doesnt anyone find it funny that the NAACP wants to celebrate an African American Man who use to rape little boys.
Seriously. I know the NAACP is screwed up but really they want to celebrate a musician that was sexually abused by his father and then abused little boys after that. Good organization.

I find it remarkable that anyone is offering accolade to this President for taking yet another vacation!

At least when he's away, he can't mess anything else up in the Country! What an embarrasment golf hack is!

There is enough heat in Washington. Vacationing in Maine where it is cool sounds great to me. I am sure the residents are thrilled with his visit. He is such a nice person and has a beautiful family. I hope he gets some well-deserved rest and fun.

He accomplished a list of amazing things this week and we should be focused on that – Financial Reform is another huge victory for the People. The banks and Wall St cannot bring down our economy again and if a bank is failing – a bank-funded fund will be used to help them out – NOT taxpayers. Republicans hate it because they are paid well by the big banks to stand up for them. Republicans never stand up for the PEOPLE like the Democrats always do.
Democrats are the Party of the People. Republicans are the Party of we are against everything President Obama does. What patriots.
