New poll spells trouble for Lincoln

Blanche Lincoln.
Lincoln, who was able to survive a tight Democratic primary process against the more liberal Lieutenant Gov. Bill Halter, is now trailing Republican candidate Rep. John Boozman by 19 points in the general election matchup according to a new poll.
Conducted by Reuters/Ipsos, the poll indicates Boozman tops Lincoln, 54 percent to 35 percent.
Since the bitter primary ended, Lincoln has scored a major legislative victory, playing an important role in the passage of the Wall Street reform bill, authoring a provision that increases regulation of the derivatives market.
But that victory isn't translating into public favor, according to the poll results. When asked who fights for Main Street over Wall Street, 42 percent chose Boozman, while Lincoln garnered 29 percent.
The Reuters/Ipsos poll of 600 registered voters was conducted by telephone between July 16-18, and has a sampling error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

I really wished she got booted in the primary, but now how embarrassing that this seat will be lost to an idiot named Boozman? This woman has alienated so many wrong people and won the hearts of the wrong people. She does not deserved to be in the senate.
Duh! I don't think any realistic person in the Democratic party ever actually believed otherwise. The Netroots certainly didn't. Blanche Lincoln doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell and never did. And good riddance to her. She's a lousy, sorry excuse for a Democrat. She's a back-stabbing turncoat and the people of Arkansas are going to replace her - a Republican in Democratic clothing - with the real thing - an actual Republican. The people will always choose the real thing over the fake every time. Blanche should have figured that out, but she chose to be a lousy blue dog instead.

Sorry, but Mr. Bush's policies are still out there challenging us. A war being waged for 8 years with no way of paying for it. Taxes were cut and spending was not curtailed. I cannot imagine that people think all of this iPres. Obama's fault.

No surprise. even though i am voting republican this cycle, i admit it is sad to see moderates frm both sides the biggest losers nowadays. the real middle loses bcuz of lunatic, loud, hyenas on both sides. if DEMOCRATS were in control instead of LIBERALS, thngs may b different today. voting agains hillary was dems worst mistake. perception is everythng, and she is rightly perceived as more moderate. her votes proved make that perception reality. 2 bad liberal journalists pushed the far left and attackd every1 else. the majority of Americans do not see the world thru liberal eyes.
Many Dems will be facing similar challenges. The Republicans will take control of both house and rebuke Obamas RADICAL agenda.
I don't think Ms. Lincoln should give up. With the way the Tea Party is going and with the way the Rethugs are showing their love of big business and dislike for America, you may just win anyway. Just campaign honestly and do you best. That's all you can do.
If the voters decide to give power back to the republicans in the next elections, they deserve what they get and God help us all.
I hate to see a republican win, but what';s the difference between her and a republican. She betrayed the people who voted for her, on every thing the Democrats have done this year.

They didn't ask me and I'm in Arkansas. Boozman is about as exciting as watching paint dry and just votes along party lines and has absolutely no ideas of his own. Can't really think of anything that he has done for the state or any bills that he has introducted, but as long as your a Consertative in this state the Moral Majority, gun totin folk will vote for you.
Blanche Lincoln has done more for this state and the people in it this year alone than John Boozman has since being elected.

The entire country is angry....Rightfully so. The infamous "Throw the bums out" sentiment is strong. Democrats especially are in for big trouble this November. The only question after the midterms is who is going to be the Republican leader and what is there message going to be? Hopefully, They will mean what they promise this time. I am a Conservative who has been very unhappy with Republicans actions for the last ten years or so. Wake up ladies and gents, The American people finally have both eyes open and they are looking right at you.

Lincoln was the WRONG choice for re-election. She was nothing but a traitor to the Democratic Party. She caused so many problems in getting critical legislation passed faster. She is a loser and if we lose her seat I don't know if it will make any difference. She worked against the Party all the time anyway. She and Ben Nelson are the worst Democrats in office and we lost them, it would be NO loss.
Lincoln is among many demorats who will be sent home in November and maybe she can use copies of the thousands of pages of tax and spend legislation she helped pass as a blanket. She will probably remain in DC as a lobbyist.
