Gingrich to blast Obama's 'willful blindless' in security speech

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/02/17/art.gingrich.file.gi.jpg caption ="Newt Gingrich will blast President Obama in a foreign policy address Thursday."]Washington (CNN) - Newt Gingrich will deliver a major national security address at the conservative American Enterprise Institute on Thursday in which he will reprimand the Obama administration's "willful blindness" to the threat of extremist Islam.

The speech - a direct challenge to the president's foreign policy judgement at a venue that's become an important stopover for Republican luminaries - is the latest sign that Gingrich is serious about a potential White House bid in 2012.

Gingrich "will warn," according to a synopsis of the event, "that now is the time to awaken from self-deception about the nature of our enemies and rebuild a bipartisan commitment, in Afghanistan and elsewhere, to defend America."

Never one to shy away from his somewhat professorial reputation, Gingrich plans to draw on "the lessons of Camus and Orwell" to explain "the dangers of a wartime government that uses language and misleading labels to obscure reality."

A simple paradigm for simple thinkers.
Just forget that today's world makes the formation of a dangerous extremist group an easy thing to do, the only groups we have to concern ourselves with is extreme Islamist groups.
Home-grown terrorists are not an issue unless they believe in the Koran? Koresh, McVeigh and Jones come to mind. Gosh, they were all Christians. Should Gringrich be pilloried for being willingly blind regarding the murders who follow Randall Terry?

Maybe Newt will remind us all about the deficit spending created by Bush's two wars, and how the gullible neocons that follow him helped Osama bin laden and his minions nearly destroy the American economy in the wake of the World Trade tragedy. The trillion dollar deficit would not exist were it not for Republican blindness and war mongering.

You my friend are being DUPED by the KOOL-AID.

The haters cease to amaze me, I always thought if you criticize, then come up with a solution other than endless wars however, that would be to much like the right thing to do,its much easier to continue the fair mongering like they use to do, fear the President he is taking our country from us!!

Mr Gingrich: Take some advice. Time to retire. Your world view is irrelevant.

Our failure prone foreign policy, America's worship of big oil, big business, and our false values significantly helped to create this mess.

Most Americans (especially middle class Republicans) know next to nothing regarding our machinations in the Middle East. Few Americans (especially middle class Republicans) know anything concerning our support of the most heinous tyrants–yes, including Saddam. We love them for their oil.

Why Newt Just got done blaming the Obama administration for why he called Sherrod a vicious racist. He said he assumed the story true because she was fired by the Obama admin. And then he goes on about how incompetent the obama admin is. Well if they are so incompeteant why did you beleive the story was true, did you assume them to be competent up to this point. Nice try Newt.

Newt is out of his freakin' mind. We need to stop the wars we have and bring home the troops. Islam is not fought in the streets but in the minds of the young people in islamic nations. You can't conquer these extremists when their doctrine is to fear no one but Allah. You can drop all the bombs you want and they will keep coming.

Newt, first start with your own party! Let them know that always throwing the baby out with the bath water is NOT the way to show leadership and does nothing to move the country forward. Until republicans become sincere about running the country instead of obstructing decent legistlation, I think we should leave all of them alone. They are playing politics with issues that are far to serious, expecting us to buy into their game. Only the mindless would do such a thing. I ALWAYS VOTE FOR THE CANDIDATE WHO APPEARS TO HAVE THE BEST GRASP OF THE ISSUES AND THE BEST SOLUTIONS TO SOLVE THEM. This is just one independent's point of view.

    What a joke.

This wind bag is a loser of the raunchiest kind.

Newt can't hold a candle to the Pres. in any arena.

Certainly, in the integrity realm, Gingrich doesn't belong in the same ball park as the Pres.

    Hey, America's Leadership...
Whether I liked it or not, W. Bush was the president. I didn't vote for him and I didn't agree with his policies. Obozo? He's still the president, and he's trying to clean up the mess that your party and preferred candidates made.
So, you can either put down all your hate and anger and do something, some small part, in turning down the noise and becoming a solution. Or you can continue to be part of the problem and solve nothing. Which you're doing a great job of, by the way.

More empty rants from the Obama haters.

No ideas, no clear thoughts, no examples...just mindless rants. Just like Newt. Nothing to offer.

Well, it looks like Newt has been playing with the refrigerator magnets again and found the republican's latest two-word combination to sum up their falied political ideology. And just after they've sign the latest version of Newt's Contract on America, aka the Tea Party Caucus: Whites Need Only Apply. Their new ideas are simply boggle the mind.

So what do you call the guy who uses language and misleading labels to claim the less Orwellian administration is actually more Orwellian. Hyper-Orwellian? Meta-Orwellian? Or just Newt-onian?

If my memory serves me correctly, by this time in the Bush Administration we were attacked on 9/11, so don't even try it when it comes to National Security. Too bad you did not offer up your stinky advice back then. Newt Gingrich is just another overweight, wannabe and is trying to get there at President Obama's expense. This man can't even manage his personal affairs, so keep you nose out of places to which you have "ZERO" power and authority!

WOW. Nothing new as per the rest of the world knows. Now here comes Newt the American trying to muscle rest of the world to submission. Obama uses the intelligence to gain the respect of the world while the rest of the morons like Newt wants to use the AK47 to silence the world.
It is not the Islam or Christians or... but the few idiots like Newt who are the core of the problems for the rest of the peace loving people.
