Gingrich to blast Obama's 'willful blindless' in security speech

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/02/17/art.gingrich.file.gi.jpg caption ="Newt Gingrich will blast President Obama in a foreign policy address Thursday."]Washington (CNN) - Newt Gingrich will deliver a major national security address at the conservative American Enterprise Institute on Thursday in which he will reprimand the Obama administration's "willful blindness" to the threat of extremist Islam.

The speech - a direct challenge to the president's foreign policy judgement at a venue that's become an important stopover for Republican luminaries - is the latest sign that Gingrich is serious about a potential White House bid in 2012.

Gingrich "will warn," according to a synopsis of the event, "that now is the time to awaken from self-deception about the nature of our enemies and rebuild a bipartisan commitment, in Afghanistan and elsewhere, to defend America."

Never one to shy away from his somewhat professorial reputation, Gingrich plans to draw on "the lessons of Camus and Orwell" to explain "the dangers of a wartime government that uses language and misleading labels to obscure reality."

Who is Newt Gingrich to say that he is giving a "major" speech on anything? Puhlease. Here we go again. Back to the fear tactics since they can't squeeze anymore blood out of the Gulf Spill. TRANSLATION: "The President is being soft on radical Islam because HE'S REALLY A MUSLIM!"....Its the same excrement from the 2008 election. The Republicans will stoop to anything!!!!

I've heard this guy is intelligent, but I really don't like him. He is truly detestable. Talks out of both sides of his mouth and I kind of hope he does run for President in 2012 cause he'll lose for sure. In fact, I cannot think of one Republican who could beat President Obama, regardless of how bad the economy is right now. By 2012 it will pick up and Obama has accomplished a lot in his 19 months in office, despite the many set-backs he has had. Obama is trying his best, that is obvious, no doubt about it. Gingrich is just doing some political grandstanding. The GOBP is so very good at that!! What until Cheney is feeling better. He'll be back beating the drums, throwing the red meat. Just wait.

Willfull blindless? Does Newt mean the President doesn't have as many of the willfully blind on his staff as the last one did – you know, the ones that convinced Bush and Bliar that 9/11 was our big chance to walk into Iraq, be greeted with flowers, and establish a British-American raj?
Oh, I see- "blindless" was a typo. Well, sometimes, in typo est veritas.

Gingrich is a joke as is Dingus McDugan. "We want liberty and freedom. Remember that from history class or did the liberals remove it from the text books already." You mean like the Texas school board "liberals", Angus?

    @ T'SAH from Virginia.......
Electing national leaders needs to be a purposful and mature venture, not fodder for immature rantings. Reading comments on CNN shows why we as a nation are doomed. We aren't mature enough to be a world leader and should therefore step aside for someone mature enough to lead or become the mature citizens we need to be. Rantings of the immature make those victimized by them obviously intellectually well above the ranters. You actually compliment "ginGRINCH and Sarah Palin" by comparison to yourself. All who spit venom at "Obozo", Painlin" or others take note. Grow up.
    Saving America is serious business.

We are fighting an information war with Islam. It doesn't take a genious to figure this out. This administartion is helping islam and their goal of world dominance of Islam. The Information War in the West is driven by front groups posing as peaceful Muslim community organizations, led by the Muslim Brotherhood (MB). The MB was created in Egypt in 1928 to (1) implement Islamic Law worldwide and (2) re-establish the global Muslim Caliphate. Al Qaeda and the MB have the same objectives – the difference in achieving them is timing and tactics. The Brotherhood’s Creed is: “God is our objective; the Koran is our law; the Prophet is our leader; jihad is our way; and death for the sake of Allah is the highest of our aspirations.” These are there word not mine, think about them and where they are leading us to. Take a look at the recent announcement by the head of NASA that President Obama told him to go out and seek Muslim nations and provide them access to our space program. Doesn't anyone think this is odd?

CNN) – Newt Gingrich will deliver a major national security address at the conservative

What on earth can The Lizard contribute to the national security conversation that would deem it worthy of consideration? He's brought zilch to the discussion thus far. Terming his little monologue a 'major national security address' is laughable.

The Lizard should put his questionable qualifications to work by trying as hard as possible to get South Carolina, Texas, Arizona, Alaska and slippery Lou to secede from the Union. If he can get this accomplished, then we'll listen to whatever it is he has to say this week!

'If Obama goes right, then we'll go left" is NOT a serious contribution to the national security dialogue.

That’s it Newt, stir up the fear in your base. To live in fear is the lot in life of the ignorant. Personally I am more afraid of dying of cancer, stroke or heart disease than a terrorist attack. I guess I am just a sucker about statistics.

OK Newt, you blast Obama. Answer me ONE question! What one good thing did George Bush do while in office 8 years? He wanted to invest social security in the stock market, started 2 wars, knew that 9/11 was going to happen 2 days before it happened, lied about weapons of mass destruction, lied about waterboarding prisoners-need I go on? Name one good thing Bush did? I don't think you can. Well maybe you can–he took 3 years of vacation out of 8 while in office. By the way, I am a reformed Democrat. I voted for Bush twice–shoot me please.

Oh, Gingritch is a fine one to talk about 'bipartisanship.' He and his cronies (i.e. the other Rethugs) won't consider ANYTHING in a bipartisan manner unless by that they mean 'do just what we want and just how we want and we won't give on any issues that we disagree with.' What a hack. Shut him up, someone, please.

It's like the godd-mn Twilight Zone with these people. Bush, Cheney and Rove spent 8 years establishing the most Orwellian US administration of the past century...hands down. It was as if they were channeling him from his grave. And as for "the dangers of a wartime government that uses language and misleading labels to obscure reality"...why, Newtered, that's positively "unpatriatotic" of you. Aren't you a "real american?" You better be or we'll have to declare you an "enemy combatant" and use "enhanced interrogation techniques" on you...maybe even throw you in front of a "death panel" so they can determine whether you still possess the "values" of this "krischun nashun" or are really just part of an "axis of evil" hellbent on destroying America.

BTW, "Let him know that we see what he is pushing for and it isn't what Americas want."

What do you see? Can you put forth coherent, factually accurate, intellectually honest argument that characterizes what you see or are you simply peering thru a misinformed ideological prism while tuning into Glush Limbeck on your tinfoil hat? Here's a hint: incorrectly perseverating a misapplication of the concept of "socialism" to infer the existence of a manchurian conspiracy is NOT a coherent argument.

Newt has been proven wrong time and time again. Caught in flat out lies and obvious deception. Didn't even follow his own Contract With America. Is this the BEST the GOP has to offer. Oh please run for president Newt.

Newt is the smartest guy in the room. Just ask Newt. Newt is the most ethical guy in the room. Just ask Newt. Then, tell Newt to crawl back into the think tank from whence he came. Once his election exploratory committee discovers Newt might get 6 percent of the vote, he will go back to lecturing from his think-tank bunker.

Newt has more knowledge and sense in his little finger than Obama will probably have in his entire life. He is much, much more than a politician.
Who is he to lecture the President? Newt is the architect of the budget surplus that Congress created in the 1990's, that's who. He is also a very astute scholar of history and very much understands the failings of this and previous administrations (including the Bush administration). He gives credit where it is due and blame where it is due. It sounds like the Bush bashers and Newt bashers here have never actually heard him.

Angus, you been tending to too many tea parties.
Who is taking your freedom? I approve of President Obama's agenda
    to quote Joey above.
Here we go! Another washed up politician looking to score points for a come back. We can't be fooled twice Mr. G. Your tactic is old and stale. The divide and conquer strategy only works with the ignorant especially your "base". Make us fear Islam so we can hire you to protect us – Grand Idea. I got a better one, why not get lost until you come up with something better. I am probably more concerned with the extremist Right Wing who distort data to achieve division. You are all playing from the same defunct play book. Americans will not be fooled again; at least not by you. We know your number.
Newt is one to be talking. Remember when he got kicked out of CONGRESS? Cheater, lier. Fool.....
