Palin passes Facebook milestone, issues fundraising call
(CNN) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has reached a new milestone: 2 million fans on Facebook.
SarahPAC, Palin's political action committee made the announcement in the form of a fundraising email sent to supporters on Thursday.
"On behalf of Sarah and SarahPAC, I want to thank everyone for their support and encouragement, especially on Facebook, where Sarah has just passed 2,000,000 fans," the email from SarahPAC treasurer Tim Crawford says.
"Over the last year and a half, we have received an outpouring of encouragement and support from people across this great nation. During that time, Sarah has used her Facebook account as an outlet to express her hopes and concerns about the direction of the country."
Palin has used the social media site, which has more than 500 million users, to issue a slew of endorsements in advance of the 2010 midterm elections.
The former vice presidential candidate is also active on the social media site Twitter, where she has 206,996 followers.
Palin is one of many politicians who have amassed a large number of fans on Facebook. Former President Bill Clinton has 359,030, former President George W. Bush, who joined the site in June, has 283,429, Palin's former running mate John McCain has 632,622, and President Barack Obama has more than 11 million.

She will have an army of donors that will rival what Obama had in 2008. Sarah is the Republican most feared by the left. That is why they have been on a mission to destroy her since she ran for VP. Political types only expend their time and money opposing people that they fear.
Thats quite an accomplishment. I have read what she has posted and find what she say interesting. Palin has more sense than these eat their own people give her credit for.

As a woman, I am very anxious to see more women in politics but not this woman. I expect the people in government to be smarter than I am and, she is not. Her interview with Katie Currick showed her lack of education and knowledge of the world. Her behavior during the last presidential campaign, her total disrespect of President Obama, her attempts to incite the Tea Party participants to anger shows she lacks intelligence, class, leadership and speaking abilities. She may be the darling of the far right but others see her quite differently. With the many competent and capable Republican women on the nation's stage, I can only wonder about the people who suppor Palin and see her as a national leader? Amazing....
Wow, a president from 10 years ago has more "fans" than this dummy. And many of Sarah's "fans" are people who hate her and just want to comment about how much they dislike her, from the look of her Wall.
