GOP senators list what they say are the 100 worst stimulus projects

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption =" A visitor center at Mount St. Helens, seen in 2004, is now closed, but got new windows under a stimulus project."]Washington (CNN) - Monkeys on cocaine. New windows for a closed visitor's center. Modern dance as a tool for software development.

A report released Tuesday by conservative Sens. Tom Coburn and John McCain cited these and 97 other projects as leading examples of misguided or wasteful spending under the Obama administration's $862 billion economic stimulus bill.

Titled "Summertime Blues," the report is the third by the two senators targeting projects that they say fail to meet the job-creation goal of spending under the Recovery Act of 2009.

The report highlights the extraordinary "waste and mismanagement" of taxpayer dollars, said McCain, R-Arizona. The stimulus plan "was supposed to create jobs. It does not."

Here's a list of projects funded by taxpayer money when the GOP was in power.

    1. Tax cuts for the wealthy: These cuts were supposed to stimulate job growth as their new found wealth "trickle down" on the rest of us. We're still waiting to share in the bounty.

    2. War in Iraq: This was needed because Saddam Hussein was not abiding by UN imposed rules, no wait it was because he was hiding WMD, no wait it was because Iraq was involved with 9/11, no wait it was because he was associating with terrorists, no wait it was because he was a brutal dictator, etc. Oh heck it's because Bush just felt like it.

    3. Deregulation of Oil Companies, Wall Street, and Banking Industry: These poor people shouldn't have to worry about environmental or consumer protections while they were enjoying their multi-million dollar bonuses (which they paid less taxes on due to #1). Besides, these industries can be trusted to police themselves much better than any government agency could. It's not like the worst financial meltdown since the Great Depression or the worst oil spill in history will happen due to these actions.

I'm sure I left some of the GOP accomplishments off the list but I was running out of time and space.

And the GOP America-hating liars stood at every ribbon-cutting ceremony. I effing hate them and their supporters. They are no different than Al Queda, except they are already here in America doing the dirty work for Al Queda.

Stimulus? What about the millions that have been spent just to make the signs (YOUR STIMULUS DOLLARS AT WORK). What a complete waste of our money.

So where were the Gop senators when the votes were made to deregulate Wall Street, Big Oil and Big Business. That almost financially ruined our country. I don't give a monkey's flea about them being on Cocaine compared to the ruination of the US which they didn't give a d about!

This is just business as usual. It doesn't change anything. Republicans do it. Democrats do it. It doesn't matter what Senator X is spending in North Carolina to a resident in Houston-because the Houstonian has no power. The PEOPLE are to blame for rewarding those who bring the bacon home by voting for them (hence the term pork). If you don't like your phony conservative GOP who only talks the talks, but doesn't walk the walk, replace him with a true conservative--one who believes in less government and less spending-not the TEA partiers who endorse tax-raisers like Palin and government growers like Bachmann.

And now, no doubt, we will hear from the Democrats, about the worst 100 Republican requested stimulus expenditures. It goes on and on, and it did not begin with the Palin bridge to nowhere..
