Oil spill 'still a disaster' for parts of Gulf, Allen says

"If you're sitting in Barataria Bay, it's still a disaster. If the folks have not come back to the panhandle of Florida, it's still a disaster," former Coast Guard Adm. Thad Allen told CNN's State of the Union. (Photo Credit: CNN)

(CNN) - The undersea gusher in the Gulf of Mexico has been brought under control, but the worst oil spill in U.S. history will continue to be felt along the Gulf Coast for some time, Obama administration officials said Sunday.

Tell you what. Let's make a new rule. We start deporting Republicans until the immigration controversy is solved. It the problem is not solved by the time we have run out of Republicans to deport – then problem would be????

Why don't you just say a lot of people see dollar signs for themselves even if they weren't hurt !

  3. Gaylon Barrow NOT ASHAMED for the truth!!!

They will never be able to clean up the Gulf satisfactorily just as the Obamanites slander Bohemer with their ignorance in the above article on immigration. They condone these illegals being made citizens even though they're here illegally. That does not matter to them. Ask the ones of them who raped, murdered., robbed liquor stores. They never did any of those acts either. They were all framed. YEAH RIGHT. DON'T MENTION THE CONSTITUTION AND THE REPUBLICANS NOT HONORING IT. OBAMA HAS DESTROYED IT. NO WONDER THE HATRED IS RAMPANT IN THEIS COUNTY. WATCH AND SEE IF A CIVIL WAR DOESN'T BREAK OUT. OBAMA AND HIS GROUP HAVE MADE IT A POWDER KEG OF DISASTER.

It's going to continue to be a disaster for a long time. People in the press and NOAA need to stop spinning it like the worst is over.

That's because Obama did nothing the first few weeks. He wanted to use it to promote his green agenda. Disgusting

BP must not be allowed off the hook now or in the near future until all is 100% good in and around the gulf from there mess. All the people in the gulf must keep up the pressure on them until they are completely satisfied with the outcome. After all BP are the ones who make all the profit off the gulf for drilling there as the people who live in the gulf areas are going through hard economic times and the mess that BP has caused only has added to it.

In an effort to save a few hundred thousand dollars, they (BP) polluted OUR Gulf Coast

One thing is for certain,it will take a lot less longer to vote Obama out of office than to clean up the damage caused by the oil put into the gulf. And we will not know the damage done by EPA by letting BP dump tons of dispersants into the ocean waters.

What I really liked about this whole oil spill was how hard all the news networks worked to keep Obama's name out it unlike Katrina whne they blame Bush for the dumb people who stayed behind because of the democrats in charge of Naw Leans.

Disasters never ends for us isnt it. Other's will be Thanking Heaven and appreciating those tireless frontliners battling daily with disasters but NOT US.
All we do is whine and complain season and even when problem is fixed.
Bush did this, obama did that, clintons brought it on us...oh wait, he was not born here...
    Whine on dear me

Thank you, CNN, for using the term "Gusher" and not "spill." The ruptured oil well created an open well volcano, not an oil spill. It definitely does not qualify for the $75 million cap on expenses.

I applaud the Obama administration's rapid response, despite the false information being spread. Our government responded quickly, assembled a team and has not abandoned the effort to repair the damage. I'm sure some things could have been better but the timeline and list of resources used is incredible. Accusations that foreign assistance was rejected are false. Vessels from Mexico, Brazil, etc. were on the scene with weeks. The huge skimmer "A Whale" took a long time being deployed and actually was not agile enough to be of much use because the oil is scattered. However, the centrifuge technology proved to be very useful. We have a long way to go. It will take years to recover but accusations that the response was late or weak are simply wrong.

The oil spill has been brought to an end. President Obama got all the blame for the Oil Spill. Now that it's over, will he get credit for it ending or will the Republicans say he didn't do it fast enough. Sorry people but the last time I check Aquaman was a fictional cartoon character. We must open our eyes and do a reality check.

You think?! Really?! So, are the reports that hardly any wildlife were destroyed during that 90 plus days after Deep Water Horizon exploded is untrue?! Of course the oil is still impacting the Gulf; we are not as stupid as many may think!!!
One thing that we can't forget is the fact that it happened under Obozo's watch; I can't wait for January when the Republicans impeech him and Joseph Biden!

"I won't rest until the oil-spill disaster is rectified" Just another Obummer line of BS while he jerks the American people around in his left-wing socialistic agenda. 4 and the door for this miserable excuse of a president.
