TRENDING: Palin response to viral video raises brows

(CNN) - Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is responding to a YouTube video that shows her and her eldest daughter, Bristol, engaged in a spirited debate with a woman standing in front of a banner that reads: "Worst Governor Ever."

On her Facebook page, Palin reacts under a post titled "There You Go Again, LSM." She says the media (LSM is her abbreviation for the "lame stream media") is spinning the video of the encounter into something it is not. Palin lashes out at claims she rolled her eyes at the woman when she identified herself as a teacher.

"Yes, it's come to this: the media is now trying to turn my eyebrow movements into story lines. (Maybe that's why Botox is all the rage – if you can't move your eyebrows, your 'eye rolling' can't be misinterpreted!)" Palin writes.

Filming part of her Alaska documentary in Homer, Alaska, Palin writes she "had a brief discussion with a local lady who, in typical Alaska style, decided to give me her two cents worth about my political leanings, American politics in general, and much else besides."

In the video, the protester says to Palin, "You swore on your precious bible that you would uphold the interests of this state and then, when cash was waved in front of your face, you quit."

Palin immediately says, "Oh you want me to be your governor! Thank you."

"No," the woman responds, "I wanted you to honor your responsibilities."

As for the terse political discourse, Palin writes "It's what makes our politics so uniquely democratic: two people discussing the things they care about, even though they respectfully disagree about just about everything."

For someone with such chutzpah and bravado, Palin really does have a thin skin when it comes to critique.

I wouldn't trust Sarah Palin with running a convenience store for a day, much less a country for four years. She's a fine mess of arrogance, idiocy and delusions of grandeur.

And unfortunately, that resonates with a disturbingly large critical mass of American society.

Canada's really going to have to borrow your border fence if her assault on reason wins the day. You won't be needing it any more – Mexicans will avoid a Palinized fascist American like the plague. And we'll need something to keep the crazy out.

This teacher got more truth out of Sarah Palin in one day, then the Mainstream Media has got in two years. When will the media do their job?

Palin talking out her behind about things she knows nothing about? Nothing new here.

She clearly, clearly rolls her eyes when the woman states that she is a teacher. As if to say, "oh, one of those people".

Pretending that your facial expressions did not convey your contempt and dismissiveness of the woman's profession, isn't going to make it so. Your expressions are there for everyone to see and your lame attempt at mocking the media as a diversion works on nobody, save your most ardent apologists.
Stay in the spotlight honey..... the longer you are there the more the fool you expose yourself as being.

Sarah... She has answers for everything, huh? The issue is – Not one of her answers seem to be the truth... The way she runs her family is sad enough & now people want her to run the country? Not only would we need God to bless us... We would need God to help us!

Seriously, the fact that Palin gets so much attention reflects many things wrong with politics in our country. Yes, we say let's elect a whole new crop of politicians. That's great except that a lot of americans see Palin as a refreshing change. When I see less 'celeb like' people being promoted, I'll know we've started to get things right.

Eye rolls or not, the look of derision on Sarah's face after being told by the woman she's a teacher doesn't require a body language expert.

Either way, the video once again captures Governor Palin at her most vacuous. Giving canned, hackneyed responses to serious questions about her term as Alaska's governor. What a joke.

    Palin for President 2012!!!!!

I am a teacher, and "eye roll" or not, Palin gave an insulting, degrading look. Teachers should be lauded for applauded for their hard work.

I saw the video before reading this article, and when I was watching it, I thought Palin's facial gestures toward the woman who said she was a teacher were terribly rude and condescending. She may not want it to be true, but it is clear she disrespected the woman b/c she was a teacher. Palin was sarcastic and dismissive through the whole interaction–even though she was the one who instigated it by walking out of her way to talk to the woman. She (and her daughter) were quite rude. Just my opinion.

I think Palin seems very real and probably very similar to the type of discussion any of us would have had if it happened while we were with our daughter. She stayed very positive and smiled , and didnt in anyway embarrass the woman – which would have been quite easy. I wonder why there isnt a video daily of the lame and idiotic videos of Joe Biden ?? He makes Palin seem like a rocket scientist. Im not biased either way – but Joe is a moron incapable of putting together 2 minutes of sensible dialogue.

I think Todd and the other big guy trying to block the camera had a feeling Sarah was fixing to have a moment of some sort. The family kinda seem a little too they are so a Paris Hilton...Lindsay Lohan sorta way.
I did like the "Worst Govenor Ever" sign. Puts truth into the moment.
