Waters hit with three counts by House ethics panel

Maxine Waters, D-California.
The reports details alleged violations of House rules tied to the 10-term congresswoman's attempt to seek federal assistance for a bank with financial ties to her husband.
The committee rejected Water's request for the charges to be dismissed.

Well what a surprise another liberal democrat faces ethics charges. I thought the Democrats were going to be ethical. Bring on November and some serious changes to our congress.
Just like Charlie Rangel I hope Maxine Waters ethics are not swept under the rug by dems trying to protect their own.These Congressmen and Congresswomen need to pay the price for what they do and more than a slap on the wrist.

This is what happens when you have an avowed socialist in a position of importance. The rules apply to all except a party member. After all if your position in the government can't help your personal wealth then what good is it?

"10-term" .. this is exactly why we need term limits in any government office position, no matter how small .. people get the illusion of unlimited power.

I am a Democrat but that not important. Get rid of all the crooks in the Congress and Senate. That applies to the Republicans also.

This is a problem within our governmental process and unfortunately our elected officials use their influence to garner favor for family and friends and that is not right.
Our elected officials forget why they are there; they allow the power to influence them in ways that are not ethical or moral in some circumstances/situations.
Their focus should be the following:
1. We work for the people.
2. We are paid by tax revenues, which come from the people and corporations.
3. Every attempt to lock down the best value for the best price should be considered, as you work for the people and it is the people's money you are spending.
If you forget those three things, you should resign your position realizing that you have lost your way and forgot why you came into service.
It is time, regardless of party, that our representatives begin to understand they work for us collectively, not some special interest and surely not their own interest.
If you are getting into government for your own interest, then you are getting into it for all the wrong reasons.

As son as the ethics commiittee goes after ensign and wilson and the rest of the rethugs who have done worse or just as bad I'll start reading the story about rangel and waters.
