Johnston running for Palin's old job in reality show

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption ="Levi Johnston wants to be the star of a new reality show that will profile his campaign to be mayor of Wasilla, Alaska."]

(CNN) - Levi Johnston wants to run for Sarah Palin's former job – with cameras watching him at every step.

Stone & Company Entertainment confirmed to CNN that it is actively shopping a show that will feature Johnston seeking his former almost-mother-in-law's old post as mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.

The show, to be called "Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor's Office," will feature the trials and tribulations of America's most famous teen dad as he enters the world of politics while continuing to dabble in Hollywood, Stone also confirmed.

First reported by Variety, the company confirms it is already shooting the pilot and is shopping it to several networks.

When the show was first floated to Johnston – who recently broke off his engagement to Palin's eldest daughter, Bristol, for the second time – he wasn't thrilled with the idea of following in the former Alaska governor's footsteps.

"But the more I think about it and look into it, I think there's a possibility we can make it happen," Johnston told Variety. "It's something that I want to do."

That it might.  The former mayor of Wasilla, Verne E. Rupright, won in a 2008 runoff election with a total of 466 votes.  The next mayoral election won't be held until 2012, but Johnston may seek a seat on the city council in the meantime.

Johnston also told Variety he hopes the show exposes his true character.

"It's hard to figure me out," he said. "You've got to follow me around. I'm very different. I lead a crazy life. But it will basically be both worlds, my life in Hollywood and back home, the real country boy that I am."

Unbelievable, just image if these Palin clowns were in the White House, Levi would be a nightmare and embarrassment. Bristol and Levi would problem have been married and they would have been the laughing stock because we all know what young love do to a family. They all belong in the funny farm.

You have to feel sorry for this poor kid, he's so dumb, no concept of reality, no responsibility to his baby, doesn't like a father, leads a crazy, irresponsible life and he actually thinks he could be the mayor of a city????? he should think about making friends withJon Gosselin, another loser to his children.

Have any of you EVER seen such enormous ego's in any family in your lives??? Such want and need for notoriety and greed? This kid can't even put two words together! On Larry King, when asked about not being able to spend time with his son, Levi said something along the lines of "yeh, I want to be able to do stuff with my son like father's do, you know, stuff." Dear heaven, Alaska, surely you have qualified candidates for government positions within your state, Please, bring them on so we can finally not have to hear from these pathetic people ever again!!

I guest he figure if Sara Palin, the quitter, can be the Mayor why can he. This just go to should us the world today have little regards to public office. Why not let anybody with out a brain run our state?

If this guy gets elected Mayor, its time to dump Alaska and re-outfit our schools with 49 star flags.

Talk about starving for attention. Isn't his 15 minutes just about up? He hopes this show exposes his true character? He doesn't have any character! He's a no-talent bum who wouldn't be a blip on the radar screen without Sarah Palin.

Is it possible to not write ANYTHING about this clown. Isn't his 15 minutes long over???? All he wants is the press–good or bad. Reminds me of some discipline problems you have in teaching elementary school. (Any kind of attention is better than none.) So, Media, how is Levi Johnston news???

Interesting... I'm loving this young man already... He's the de facto leader of the GOP – being the only person whose ring Palin would gladly kneel to kiss – he holds her 'destruct' button and he'll press it – he will when she starts to bore him....

This boy has lost his way...he needs to get a real job. Do they have a Safeway in Wasilla? Bag boy would be a good start.

that trailer-trash (Levi and the Palins) sure know how to exploid the stupidity of the American public.
    Making millions without working.
The real fools is the public.

Can't call them stupid anymore because they make the most out of it.
Realitiy-shows suck and are as fake as the name says.
Only stupid people watch them or Sponge-boob or American dad or Homer.

This would be the most ridiculous and laughable thing I think I have ever heard if it were not for the fact that it is without a doubt the most profoundly insulting thing I have ever heard.

Do they think we are this easily entertained? This interested in a teenage boy from Alaska?

This Palin crew if offensive at every level imaginable.

As a staunch supporter of Sarah Palin, I am appalled at the amount of publicity given to this young man as the result of the trust given to him by the Palin family. The young mother of his child is blessed with the loyal, devotion of her own family. What is this guy's problem? Does he not have parents who must be embarrassed by his creating such adverse noteriety for himself. Because of his lack of character, he will eventually fade out of the picture–hopefully sooner rather than later.

What would be great is to take a whiny, stuck up, elitist, helpless lib from the NorthEast and plant them in Alaska. Then watch as they can't survive on their own and cry about how Bush is making it so cold and Cheney is making them hungry.

I'd also like to take an awesome human being from a red area where they are filled with love, compassion, honesty, and decency, and plant them in some mean, selfish, hate-filled lib area.

The people who watch these shows would learn a lesson that would save our nation, now that's a good show!
