Reid ad: Angle 'too extreme'

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption ="Nevada Democratic Sen. Harry Reid's campaign has released an ad calling Republican Senate candidate Sharron Angle 'too extreme.'"]

(CNN) - "Just too extreme," Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's campaign calls Republican challenger Sharron Angle in a new ad.

The ad features Bill Ames, President of the Peace Officers Research Association of Nevada and a self- identified Republican, saying Angle "goes way over the line."

The ad uses a January 14th radio interview in which Angle said, 'If this Congress keeps going the way it is, people are really looking towards those 2nd Amendment remedies."

"Look, I'm a member of the the NRA and a Republican," Ames says, "but that kind of talk is dangerous and way too extreme."

Angle beat 12 other candidates in the June 8 GOP primary to capture her party's Senate nomination. The former Nevada state lawmaker enjoys strong support from many in the Tea Party movement.

Recent polling shows the Nevada Senate race is deadlocked.

  1. Go HOme Sarah

Another Momma Grizzly with her "Christian" values trying to divide and conquer our country. Anti-abortion but pro gun and capital punishment and they don't see the hipocrisy.

Just like the teabaggers who cry socialism, while collecting Social Security and/or unemployment.

Someone please help me figure these folks out!

The fact that it sounds like she won't advocate for her state is a good reason not to vote for her in the Senate race. If you are running to represent your stated in the US Senate and don't seem like you are going to advocate for the state, then people have to wonder about you. Who are you going to represent when you get to the Senate?

It boggles the mind that there could possibly be enough people STUPID enough to elect this idiot to the Senate.

    Too extreme -–

Why are all the republicans and t-baggers talking so much violence and hate?

Are they trying to bully us? Scare us? Make us paranoid?

They want us to be like them. NO THANKS.

Angle even has said she does not approve of abortion in the case of rape. Now, that, to me, is an extremist's view. Rape is not a sexual is a crime of violence, and should be looked at as such, not from some pseudo-religious, pseudo-moralistic Puritanical view condemning the victom.

This woman's ideas are all over the place. She even lies about what was/is on her website.
Of course, she is good at running if you consider she runs from any reporter who wants to ask her any questions. She said it herself, she just want the cuddly press (faux and ring wing) to ask her the questions SHE wants to answer.
The half term governor IS an idiot, but angle IS a first class lunatic!!!
I can't believe that the retired or just any citizen in NV could vote for this woman.
That smiley fake look on her face is scary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Angle personifies the term "loose canon". Imagine the havoc of a huge canon with its fuse lit, rolling around the gun deck of a sailing ship, bobbing on the waves. That's Angle, spewing outright lies, inciting violence, assassinating character, and distorting reality at a whim. I can understand people not liking Sen. Reed, but it goes beyond my imagination that Nevadan's would grant her a single vote in the general election.

You want to talk EXTREME? Harry rammed though the EXTREME policies of Obummie and his band of fools. Every issue you want to talk about, Obummiecare, stimulus, immigration, cap and trade, etc. Harry and Obummie have ignored the will of the American people. Harry you are going down and so is Obummie. Pack your bags!!!!!

Harry Reid is scared and can't talk about the issues. He and his ilk have spent this country into a monstrous debt and show no signs of letting up. Unemployment is at almost 10%, the spendulus package money is running out, and those jobs that it "saved" are about to be lost anyways. We need fiscal responsibility, which has been lacking for the past 2 decades.

I agree with Mr. Ames. The Tea Party extremests are a new type of terrorist organization. The sad part is, no politician or political party is brave enough to step up to the microphone, be honest and call these people what they are – homegrown terrorists!

Harry Reid has no room to talk. He is extreme when it comes to spending, making deals behind closed doors and why doesn't he want to talk about the poor economy and unemployment in Nevada. It seems all he knows how to do is be critical of other people. He needs a good lesson about speaking, he also needs to awaken from the on going coma he seems to be in all the time. His harsh words may destroy him.

This woman is absolutely crazy. She says some of the dumbest things I have ever heard. Who, in their right mind, wants a bubblehead like her making laws for our country? I think the people of Nevada are too smart to ever elect someone like her.

Odd comment - NOTHING appears to be too extreme for the right-wing controlled Republicans and Team Party fools.

Reid is among those who is ruining the economy of this country by his insane support of spend! spend! spend! Compared to that, Angle's is no more than a minor and harmless nuttiness.

I agree. We have way too many "militias" and nut-jobs running around. Comments like hers only give them legitimacy and fuel their extremist agendas. We need to tone down the rhetoric in this country.

Having lived in Nevada until recently, I still find it unfathomable that any person with any intellect or common sense could consider Angle as senatorial material. The people of Nevada deserve better. They have suffered enough under an arrogant, do-nothing governor, and should not have to be saddled with an inferior candidate for senate as she has proven to be.

She talks extreme, and Reid has done extreme, so who is more dangerous, the one who says what he means, or the old slimy politician who does not listen to the people in an extreme way!?

Angle is not too extreme, she is certifiable crazy. There is no way that you who live in Nevada are going to allow yourselves to be knocked back into the stone ages. Now I know you got bad choices on both sides but who would your rather have, a harmless weasel that may not be truthful all of the time, or some Psycho maniac serial nutcase?

Angle can't be any worse than Reid. Reid andling of the Senate and passage of healthcare the wa he did it was a disaster for America. Nevada and the country would be better served to have Reid be voted out.

Maybe......but no one in Nevada can afford another term for Harry Reid.

Again, it is the lesser of the 2 evils, and Angle is that choice.

I guess he is trying to say she and other republicans will shoot and kill their way to freedom? This guy will try anything to stay in power. For him that is all there is, not jobs, not spending, not security just power. Vote Harry out, Nevada!!!
