Biden: Democrats will keep the House and Senate

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/08/20/art.bidenpt0820.gi.jpg caption="Paraphrasing Mark Twain, the vice president said that reports of the death of the Democratic Party have been greatly exaggerated."]
(CNN) - Vice President Joe Biden had a strong message for fellow Democrats on Friday: After Election Day, expect to keep a majority in Congress.

"I'm here to tell you that on November 3, the day after this coming election, there will be in Washington, D.C., a Democratic majority in the House and a Democratic majority in the Senate," Biden said at the Democratic National Committee's summer meeting in St. Louis, Missouri. He joked, "and were it not illegal, I may book on it!"

Paraphrasing Mark Twain, the vice president said that reports of the death of the Democratic Party have been greatly exaggerated.

Polls have shown that congressional Democrats are facing an uphill challenge this year. Biden said that a large part of that has to do with Americans blaming their problems on the people at the top.

Is Biden saying that Americans are supposed to blame the people at the bottom? No wonder the Democrats are in trouble. Leadership means taking responsibility for your actions – or the lack thereof – to improve the security and quality of life for the people you represent. I do not see that happening either on the international or domestic arena. I do not see that happening in American homes, in our schools and on our streets.

I hope this was another Biden gaffe, because if it wasn't, it raises very serious questions about the outlook of this Administration.

And we're supposed to believe Biden why?

That's whistling-in-the-dark wishful thinking, and everyone knows it. The Dems are going to be hammered hard in November. If they keep the Senate at all, it's likely to be 53/46; the House likely 218/217.

The cool thing is that, with Congress likely deadlocked, the idiots won't be able to do the country any further damage for a couple of years and, by enforced inaction, keep Obama from doing any more damage.

This "bufón", just like his boss, are delusional. He's part of an administration that is taking our country over the cliff.

    And, yes, I am a life-long Democrat.

With this guy running his mouth out there, this may be the funniest election season ever.

I see on some other stories on the Ticker that the Editors at CNN are bringing back the term "Wedge Issues". It has a negative connotation and is usually used by Dem Pols and the liberal media to bash Republicans.

Look for this election to be very dirty. The Dems are desparate and they will use fear, smears and lies to keep their hold on power. They will pit different groups against others, they will call names and label their opponents unfairly. They won't campaign on the laws that were passed in a hyper partisan votes this last tem because they know how unpopular they are, instead, they will run against the very things that most of them voted for and the sad part is the Liberal media won't ask the tough questions or report the truth about the deception.

Lets hope the Polls are real and the Republicans are swept to power in Nov. I feel that this time the Republicans will hear the voice of the real majority of Americans of all groups, and put a stop to the madness the democrat party has created since 2007.

Biden is probably right, because the GOP has too much ground to make up.

Here is the real story, with a historical advantage in both houses, and with the same party in the White House, this administration has proven inept at getting any legislation passed. Do not forget, for almost 8 months, dems had a filibuster proof senate.

Do these hypocrites who oppose the centre know that Americans are fighting, dying and killing muslims in the name of liberating muslims? The American Embassy in Bagdad is the biggest in the world and this in a country where Americans have killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people (among whom women and children) and displaced millions others.
Was the sensitivity of the slave owners taken into consideration when Americans fought and died for its abolition? Is there a lesson the American can learn in Rwanda and Burundi?

Infact I can't believe that in this century many Americans can still have cheese under the skull bone!

"Vice President Joe Biden had a strong message for fellow Democrats on Friday: After Election Day, expect to keep a majority in Congress."

Could this be because Biden knows the electronic voting machines are "rigged" to give Democrats the advantage?

The GOP, deserve a vote of "NO". At the polls. They've done nothing to help the DEMS help America.

The majority means nothing. With the Repo's filibustering everything you need 60 votes in the Senate to get anything passed. They will pout til they get their way. Just like my 4 year old. Grow up
