Quayle still on the attack in Arizona

Speaking to reporters a day after capturing the Republican nomination for Congress in Arizona's 3rd district, Quayle declared, "I really have about eight words to share with you, and that is: Barack Obama is the worst president in history." And he warned the Obama administration that the "counterattack starts now."
The candidate – an attorney making his first foray into politics – made national headlines for a series of campaign gaffes that included using someone else's children in a campaign mailer and denying – before offering a qualified acknowledgment – that he had blogged for a raunchy online site.
Quayle managed to change the conversation late in the race by releasing a biting ad that called President Obama the worst in history and declared he wants to go to Washington to "kick some butt."
During the primary, Quayle – a young looking 33-year-old political newcomer – managed to raise more than a million dollars with the help of his father and former President George H.W. Bush. Quayle beat back accusations that his father was buying him the seat, and then complained he was being treated unfairly by the press. But with the nomination locked up, he seems to think its all just part of the political process.
Asked by CNN if the press was unfair to him, Quayle said "I think the media is doing its job" then said with a smile "I thought that I had a very good level of scrutiny and I've taken it in stride."
Quayle refused to answer local reporters' attempts to clarify what he may have written on a now defunct website called DirtyScottsdale.com. The site has since been renamed theDirty.com, but features similar content – gossip about nightlife in cities around the country.
But he did respond to CNN's request to explain why, in his estimation, President Obama is worse than, say Ulysses S. Grant – whose presidency was marred by scandal.
Quayle explained, "[W]ell we can quibble about the worst but if you look at the track record of what has happened in the last year and a half, fundamentally he [Obama] has taken over our country in a way that is frightening to a lot of people including myself."
He went on to fault Congress and the President for excessive spending, passing health care reform and "apologizing for America."
Quayle was joined at the event by his parents Marilyn and Dan Quayle. When CNN attempted to interview the former Vice President he said he's "feeling great" then walked on.

Ben Quale is just another Republican want-to-be who is trashing the President to get his name out. When it comes to intelligence, education and ability, Ben Quale isn't even a shadow of President Obama. He is a perfect example of what the present Republican party has become . They have lost my vote and support.
All I can say is thank heavens he does not represent the part of the state where I live. Our current rep is bad enough.
Unfortunate that such a young man embraces deception and lies , typical of GOP politics, at such a young age. Attacking the president does not make his deceptions right and yet his fellow republicans accept and reward him. Now they would push him to the world to gain more experience and perfect on the GOP fraud and deceptive politics. Hypocrisy is a virtue for the GOP.

I cannot believe AZ would put such a snot-nosed know-nothing extremist in a position to actually go to Congress. He's a nobody using the recognition of his last name. However, does no one remember what a stupid, gaffe joke of a VP his father was? He went to a school and chastised a child for spelling "potato" wrong. Quayle added an "e" onto the end of the word and declared "potatoe" was the correct spelling. He was nothing but a fool.
Seems like his son is as much of a "potatoe" head as his father.

This person has proven in his lies and exaggerations that he is a very poor choice for any political office.It won't take long for anyone with this type of personality for the people to realize that if he can't be trusted then he's gone. Things are too tight and troublesome in our country right now and we all have to do the best we can to pull it up to where it should be. Long ago, there was an article in the Smithsonian Magazine about a juvenile polar bear who would bug the Hell out of strange adult polar bears until they finally gave chase. Then, he'd run and hide behind his ferocious mama. It worked for him, at least until he grew up, and I suppose it'll work for Ben Quayle, at least until he does. It seems like a Hell of a way to run a Congressional seat, though.
